So I am just getting into growing and I was wondering why bag seeds from weed I buy are fertile if the growers kill the males before they release their pollen. Does this mean if I got some white widow or something the seeds from the bag would be fertile?
if there are seeds, pollenation happened. seeds don't happen without that. not all seeds are fertile though, if they're green or white or even a really dark black they probably won't sprout. a dark brown seed probably will, though.
^^ That. If the grower pulls out the males, then the buds won't contain seeds. They only form seeds after they have been pollinated. So if you have mature seeds, not white or light green, then they will be fertile.
