I started smoking a little over a year ago, and long story short I got to smoking every day consistently for about eight months until I quit my job and from there on it became very spaced out, only getting a gram at a time and going long periods without smoking at all. I couldn't afford to smoke an 1/8 a week anymore. Anyway, lately I've been able to a bit more and I noticed that I have a harsh reaction to it. I'm wondering if it's because I smoked so much consistently and then went straight to hardly at all. But when I inhale, it seems to reach my throat very fast and.. I wouldn't say it feels like my throat is burning but maybe very dry. It makes me have to cough.. now everyone has to cough if they take a huge hit of something but these are smaller puffs out of a bowl or a steam roller. I used to be able to take big bong rips and chain smoke out of a steam roller and my throat felt fine and the weed didn't feel as harsh. The other thing is that my stomach feels queasy. Initially that can happen especially with like bongs or something that gives off huge clouds of smoke -- your stomach might feel nauseated for a minute. But these are small hits and I shouldn't feel that after taking smallish hits. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know why it's more difficult for me to inhale smoke and why it makes my stomach/throat hurt.
I notice that I have a "throat tolerance". If I smoke blunts or bongs often, I'm able to take bigger hits easier. If I take a good bit of time off, I go back to dying after taking a single hit off a water pipe.
