im out here in houston, so not much high quality bud gets out here. But everyone i talk too seems to say Kush all the way, no purps. Why is that? I havnt ever smoked medical grade buds. also another question, what do you guys think is the top 5 smoothest hitting bongs around right now. If the smootheness of the hit was the only factor, what is your top 5. Im asking because im looking for a really smooth hitting piece, all the bud i get looks nice, but always burns when i hit it, really smokey taste. I know that better bud would make a bigger difference but that really isnt an option.

Lol try holding the lighter a solid .5 inch above the bud and pull the flame down so only the tip touches If at all. I guess it could be the weed but if it's your lighting all pieces will provide that taste.
The people that say no purps are retarded and don't know a thing about how marijuana grows. If I can get high, I will smoke it....
Its the same whether is use the bic lighter and pull it away as soon as it cherries or if i use the hemp wick. it could be my technique, but i dont think so.
Haha thats exactly what I'm saying. You're TRYING to cherry your bowl which requires a good amount of flame; a bowl will cherry on its own if packed well large or small flame. But this is all speculation; what piece are you using? You're not going to get extravagant flavor from a normal downstem diffuser.
I don't like purps because I can get nicer bud than that. I would much rather smoke some og kush or something else
there is no hate for purple weed, believe you me. it's just that purple doesn't mean dank. you can have purple shwag too, it doesn't have shit to do with quality.
Most medical grade purps are strong indices that knock you the fuck out. This is great for late at night, but if you wanna smoke and actually do something, this is not what you want. I, like the CCC guys are spoiled and get to choice whatever dank we want to smoke. Soo it's nice to have something that doesn't slap you to the couch all the time. Not trying to brag, it's just Cali medical + tons of collectives allows us this amazing selection. Like Just said, I would rather smoke an OG that has saliva qualities soo I get things done. I believe he's a med patient too..
Man almost all of Nor-Cal is crazy about purps. If you're dealing with a street dealer, they most likely have some type of purp about 85% of the time. It's just not a good every day Indica strain. I don't mean to take away from its hard-hitting, couch lock effect, it's an excellent strain for the type of high that it provides, and I do crave it at times. When you have access to dispensaries, you can find dozens of Indicas that give you a more "complete" high, rather than just vegging out on the couch all day and night long feeling like a zombie because you've been smoking some top shelf GDP.
yeah, i think i appreciate the indica's more than most because of my broken back (was broken, and healed imporperly), if i didnt smoke on the weekends, i would have a hard time making it through the next week at work.
I only like purps because of the taste/smell. But from what i've researched and tested myself, Kush's usually have a higher THC content,well at least the buds that i've smoked. I've smoked Blackberry Purp and Morgan Hill Kush in the same day. The Blackberry Purp tasted AMAZING and a 1G nug stunk up the whole pad. But i was only keyed for about an hour. The Morgan Hill Kush smelled decent but when smoked it i was dumbass high for almost three hours. As for bongs, My EHLE 1000ml bong hits pretty smooth with an Alex K Diffuser
anything with two water chambers usually is smooth enough. but yeah, everyone's kinda said it, purps = same do-nothing high everytime. i think the ccc influenced some people's opinion on it too. people say "no purps" like they're some kinda connoisseur and then scrape up their change to buy a nick bag of mids later on.
There's a purple bud out that's a cross between Afghani and Super Skunk that's aptly named, Fucking Incredible. I also picked up some DEEEEP purple crop at the High Times SF Cup that was named Eclipse that's an amazing smoke. But I too am guilty of often overlooking the purple buds for the lime green and covered trics TGA stuff. Also Vader OG is a deep purple for an OG Kush.
About a year ago my connect got ahold of some medical purple trainwreck and it was dank as fuuuuuck. To this day its my favorite indica.
