So whos running a 250 watt hps? i got a good deal on a nice new light and need to buy an extra tent as i dont have room for it anywhere else. Would I be able to cover a 3x3 tent efficiently with this light? Should i go even smaller on the tent? the light has a nice air cooled reflector that is almost 20 inches long and 11 wide.. and also digital ballast. Thanks

    Actually the tent im looking at is 32 x 32 x 63 .. So slightly under 3 x 3

  2. go for the slightly under or supplement it with CFLs/ a second 250 would be perfecto

  3. Really? 500 watts in a 2.8 2.8 ft tent?

Im probably gonna try my luck with the single 250 in a 32x32.

    Anyone else?

  4. Well, you have just over 7 sq ft and a 250w gets you only 35 watts per sq ft when your target with HID should be 50-100 w/ft. So yeah, the 250w is underpowered for the entirety of that space.

  5. I thought the "rule of thumb" was lumens/sq.ft not watts.

  6. I would def go bigger than a 250, i run a 250 in my 23x27.. go 400w.

  7. My 400 watt hps seems to only cover an area of about 2x2 ft if im trying to get the most out of my light..
