Who is going to Ultra this year, already got my tickets hit me up, and we can maybe meet up down in Miami.
We just confirmed this past weekend that we're going this year. Now, for the impossible task of finding a nearby hotel.
I'm in the process of convincing a couple of buddies to go. We are only gonna be able to make it for the second weekend, but I'm super excited already. I've never been to this before....we were planning on getting a hotel in South Beach then taking a bus or whatever back over downtown for the festival. Is this feasible?
I watched the stream online from last year and every single thing on the main stage was absolutely fucking horrible.
I went once.. it was shit.... just can't get into that type of music. I went on unXmentionXiablXes thought it would help. It just made it worse. lol If you like that type of music, however, you'll have a good time.. and even if you hate it its thousands of people on unXmentionXiableXs.. which makes it interesting enough. Have fun
Why would you go to Ultra if you know you hate electronic music? Not trying to be a dick, just honestly curious. It's kind of a lot of money to waste when you know you won't have fun.
The main acts are usually not great, but there is always a lot of lesser known guys that are great. I went one year but probably won't attend this one, just all the atmosphere and stuff turns me off. The tickets are expensive, I have to either get a hotel or travel down south back to my place, and water costs 5 bucks a pop. I think what I may do this year is hit up all the Music Conference events. Most years anyone who I would want to see also plays those shows.
Too expensive; electronica is not worth that investment. They confiscated my camelbak so I did not have any water during a 90 degree Miami day. Overall wishy washy fan base and a money pit.
2008/09 I dont remember. Half the people I knew were going. It was cheaper back then I had money I liked rolling... thought it might make it enjoyable but it became like Chinese water torture.
Tickets just arrived yesterday!! I am way too old to be doing this and it's going to take at least ten hours for me to cross the bridge from the concert to my hotel, but I don't care, I'm going to Miami to fucking party in a few weeks!
