Who makes the best strip style lights?

  1. I am looking to spend about $1.10-$1.75 CDN per watt to buy 1+ 240 watt or 320 watt led strip lights.
I couldn't even tell you what lighting companies sell strip style lights and what companies only sell quantum board style. What are the main ones to look at first? Thanks in advance.

  2. It almost sounds like you already have a specific model picked out and you're giving us a puzzle to solve for which grow light is being sold within the specific parameters you've disclosed.

I would not invest anything less than $300CAD in a grow light. HLG arguably makes the best grow lights, but they're expensive. I'd look to Mars Hydro or SpiderFarmer if budget is an issue. They make good entry level growlights that are suitable for beginners that won;t break the bank (too much). Growing is an expensive hobby.

  3. I am not really looking for entry level grow lights, I am hoping someone can offer first hand or otherwise knowledgable experience on what THE best (but not insanely priced) strip style lights are for cannabis.
Money won't be an issue shortly. I just started working again, so.

  4. I think the problem here is how much you are actually looking to spend. What you mean by strip lights are called Bar style leds. Those are the more expensive type of grow lights to start with. However they do provide better coverage than their quantum counterparts.
here are some cheap off-brand LED light bars on Amazon.

who makes the best LED bar lights?
    IMO;
Fluence, Photontek, HLG are manufacturers to check out. Pricey to say the least.

  5. check out migro on youtube for a good run down on the specs for your needs...he's fairly popular.

  6. To be honest I would look into the nukeheads lights they offer 1000 watts 5x5 flower for under $500

    I have kingbrite 650w lm301h and many
Viparspectra which have also been great lights for the money. They were much cheaper months ago

  7. For what strip lights?
Just like single, or piggyback style,
check out KingBrite Electronics on AliBaba.

For strip light kits, Mars and SpiderFarmer sell those now.

Its not really about who manufactures the lights, but what components they are using.

You can just order the strips, some as low as $3 for last generation lm351c diodes (see arrow electronics, I have some SKU#s if you like), but some other higher end strips from Samsung like the HinFlux line are very good lm301b strips. The difference I find between the two 2' strips is the older one uses 10W more per strip (ie. 60w instead of 50w).

    Go check KingBrite first.

  9. Spiderfarmer se3000 pulls about 290w. Got all the good spectrums. I just finished constructing one in a 3×3.

  10. There's quite a few companies producing bar lights now and while it's pretty hard to say "x" company is the best I think you really can't go wrong with Growspectra atm. Price, build quality, performance, tons of options for each model and tons of models.

I own an Iluminar i8 ePAR light and while there's quite a few pluses with that light the negatives and the company itself are gonna keep a great product out of a lot of people's tents but if you can get one cheap I highly recommend it.

    Good Luck and Be Safe.

  11. Can you post the url for this? I will consider getting this if I don't upgrade to a 4x6 tent from a 4x4, but can't bookmark it when it loads in the grasscity app.

  12. I think you meant to ask @B0st0nBoi who linked the light just above my last message, remarking the very low price... which kinda disturbs me tbh.
edit: I have nothing to do with that recommendation.

  13. Yeah, I started thinking about that after I posted. I think I will keep looking. There's a canada-wide network outage with Rodgers and I think it's causing webpages not to load properly. I will have to try some of the links people posted at another time.
