Who is a better singer, Maynard Keenan or Jon Davis?

  1. OK, this is a very serious poll because a friend and I are having a very serious debate on who people would say is the better all around singer, Maynard James Keenan of the band TOOL or Jonathan Davis of KoRn. Please vote your preferred singer and even post explaining why you made that choice if you like. Thanks a lot. :)

  2. Maynard James Keenan is better, hands down! I don't hate Jon Davis, I just think Maynard is a better singer.

  3. Maynard all the way. Tool rocks!

  4. Easily Maynard, the guy is getting up there in age, but his voice just gets better and better.

And korn? ugh...they went from decent to me wanting to rip my ear drums out in one album.

I mean, come on, where talking about 'The Pot' vs 'Twisted Transistors' ....

  5. MJK. Jon davis used to have a great voice, but his voice is shot now.

    TOOL > KoRn by far.

  6. id have to go along with everyone else ...Maynard ftw

  7. Please don't flame me,but I really dislike both singers and bands equally.
But like I say,to each his own, like what you like, that's fine with me :) .

  8. LAWL

    MJK>JK

    and Layne Staley>MJK

  9. wx actly and the question asked that started this post was the equivelent of asking " if you had the munchies, which would you rather eat, a bowl of some doritos or a big steaming pile of fresh dog crap?" yeah there's no contest here maynard all the way, as if i needed to say it.

  10. KoRn as a band fell to a popularity contest after their 2nd album. But Jonathan slowly went down as well. When I first heard blind, i remember loving it for the offensive rythems lead by disturbing vocals. Now its just... another thing on the radio...

Tool on the other hand seems to get better every album (AEnima being my fave, but I love 10,000 days. Has a lot of Pink Floyd like influence in it). Maynard has some of the most beautiful metal vocals out there. Not exactly a heavy distorted like I like on occasion (like mudvayne or especialy FLAW), but still definatly mezmorizing.

Anybody heard FLAW's Chris Volz? Man that guy can sing!?!
