  1. my white widow plants seem to be looking unhealthy on the bottom.....

plants are 6 weeks old in veg, about 3' and bushy.

PROBLEM- the bottom leaves are drying up and shriveling inwards. they seem to keep their color when drying up (not turning yellow first) here are some pics of whats going on. I also have a grow log which is here,

    http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-g...-widow-mental-foss-clones-w-2-dank-seeds.html

The problem is a little better documented there. here is a pic of a leaf that i pulled off of it today.

sorry if the pics are huge, dont know how to change it...

my thoughts to why this is happening are that there isnt enough light reaching the bottom because the plants are so bushy so i just installed a couple small cfl's. i also just installed a fan thats kind of blowing on where the lower growth is dying off.... overall most of the plants are growing a half inch or better every day.

    ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!

    THANKS GUYS

  2. The bottom of the plant should Always be sprouting Healthy, .. New foliage.

However, .. The Top Down Shot looks Nice ^_^ .. ..

    I would, ask you, ..

whats there Nutrients, .. and Daily water intake. ?

  3. They might have been a little hungry, I just fed all the plants yesterday. Hope they rebound. I've been feeding when the pots are light. Every 3-4 days I'd say. Ph is 6.7-6.2 I'd say.... Hellllllp

  4. And I'm feeing technaflora's bc mutes "recipe for success starter kit"

Is this a deficiency? Nute burn? Salt build up? Helllllllllllp.

I was going to start these flowering this Thursday, bad idea or ok?

  5. For soil, .. .. The Ph is fine, , .. .. If its Off the Bleed .. ..

    So, .. .. Whatever your feeding, .. Lose 20%, .. Then add 10% extra Water .. ..

    I would think R/O .. ..

    best luck, .. ..

    I'll be keeping Eyes on this .. .. .. :)

  6. i believe its ph related. i f you had a ppm meter you could test the amount of nutes you have left in the soil.i ausme you are growing in Soil.ph should not be lower 6.6. after 6.5 Mg gets locked out. do you use dolomite lime? or epsom salt? if not check it out.overall your plants look good but it could be a starting problem.Cheers.

  7. I dont use epsom or dolomite. I'll look into them, which is best... I just fed with a calmag solution and havent seen improvement yet. I think I'm gonna buy a ppm meter in the near future.

I thought 6.5 ph was best? I've never really changed my ph just keeping track of it

  8. And I give regular um ph'ed water (6.9/7.0) when they need a drink outside of the one feed per week.

I need to fix this before it moves up the plant!!!! Do you think feeding them for the first time in 10 days was the answer and it just takes time?

With every water I usually give a small splash of sugar daddy, thrive alive and sometimes a super small amount of magiCal...

HELP!!!! Like I said more pics on my journal. I put a link above

  9. do you guys think it was a slight deficiency or an over fert prob??????

  10. hard to tell. is it progressing any? Tops are looking great and most of your under canopy is looking fine. id expect if it were PH,
    the problem would spread.

as a side note, if you can get a good fan under there i would.
You have a LOT of veg matter in there.
be very wary of PM. Whats your RH??
if you are not past your 3rd week in flower i PERSONALLY would remove a lot of that under-growth. if it isnt getting the light it requires it is just wasting energy,.

    greens to you

  11. Plants are growing about a half inch a day for the most part give or take. I don't have a ppm meter, and it seems like I need to get one. But what is rh?

I think I'm just gonna keep treating it like I have unless it gets worse.

Is a splash of thrive alive and sugar daddy with non feedings (normal waterings) ok or too much?

    THANKS!!!

  12. Your strain of widow is good:hello:They look healthy and if you get 1/2 " a day your golden. I would check the heat in the grow room first, norm is 85 to 65. Then water with water with a ph level of 5.5 to 6.0 for two weeks and let them dry out just like you have been doing, cannabis likes that when in dirt. Watering with just water will flush the plants and the dirt should have plenty of nutes to feed the babes. I usually start blooming my indoor girls when they are 12" to 20" turning back the light to 12 hours and I think your girls are more then ready to produce. The taller the more yeild. I flower mine at 12" in a sog, [Sea of green]MORE IS ALLWAYS BETTER TO ME. Check out getting a ppm meter on line at CHEAP HYDROPONICS SUPPLIES then you will know what the plants are eating or not. :D

  13. Tell ya What i would do in this Situation man .. ..

Jump Back inta the Flood again .. ..

    Give them More water.

    Flush Them, .. *( Take your Soil Size { Medium } .. and Pour .. ..

Slowly, .. Through the Soil. Do that three times.

    Slowly, .. Let the Soil Expel Out, .. .. Yeah Know. .. .. Its called ^^ Flush .. ..

Them, , .. .. Resume Feed at ONLY Three Quarter as You Used to.

Wait until the Soil is Almost Dry, .. After you Flush them until ^^ Feeding Resumes .. ..

    :)

  14. Then water with water with a ph level of 5.5 to 6.0?????? DONT DO THAT

  15. Ok, sooo what should my ph be???? What's acceptable? Plants don't seem to look worse, throwing them into flowering tomorrow:hello:

I'll keep you posted good or bad

  16. run off should be 6.6 not less.when i was growing in soil i used dolomite lime and it worked good for me. a lot people use epsom salt and say the same thing.

  17. So water going in should be 6.6-7 and coming out at 6.6?

I'm going to get some ph7 to calibrate my meter today, I think its been off.

Ideally what should I water at, ph?

After that what should my run off be?

I was also thinking about giving Epsom salt with the next watering, I've heard "plants love this shit", should I expect that to improve the overall health of my plants? What's the dosage per gallon? Is it safe?

  18. Just got ph up and down +7.0.

    What should water ph be?
What should run off ph be?
Should I ph my nutrients to the same ph as my normal watering ph?

  19. Run off should be 6.6-6.7 is perfect, you might get away with 6.5 but it all depends on the strain.i had def.showing at 6.5 and by looking at the ph chart cal/ mag starts to lockout at 6.5 and less. Epsom salt is good. but i dont know much about it because i've never used it.i ve used dolomite lime and i know it helps to keep the ph stable in soil.wouldnt recomend it in hydro or soiless medium.water going in depends on the run off. so if you have lets say 3 galon pots and run off 6.3. i would pour couple galons of plain water neutral ph which is 7.0-6.7 and check the run off. if its going up-good last galon would be your nute solution ph-ed to 6.7 and your run off should be the same. im not saying that thats how its done- but it worked for me som its my 2 cents. check out my grow-it was my first one and in soil.cheers.

  20. Well I just flushed 2 plants, think there was a pretty decent ph problem. Gonna see how they react to it and do the others tomorrow or Sunday.

Should I just go ahead and flush the others anyways??

Also i got general hydroponics ph up and down. Seems like it takes lots of the up to affect the nutrient solution but just a drop or two of the down to drastically change the water ph.

Is adding 5ml or so of the ph up to my nutrient solution going to hurt my plants if that puts the ph where it should be?
