White Spots

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by HighDesertGreenThumbs, Nov 28, 2016.

  1. Hi Guys,

New to GrassCity and looking for some help.

    Question:
Does anyone know what the white spot is?

    Background:
I've grown this strain for years and this is the first time the spots have appeared. Bud size is smaller than "normal". This is 1 of 6 plants in my room and it is the only one showing the spots.

    Pictures:
    Pic 1: Spot on leaf
Pic 2: Spot on Leaf @ 80x magnification
Pic 3: Spot on Leaf @ 80x magnification
Pic 4: Underside of buds without spots

At first glance with the naked eye, the Spot looked like mold but I was unable to locate any mold with a similar appearance.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. Hey,
No mold issues whatsoever. Humidity is 36%.

  5. Believe it or not, it's a calmag deficiency. You can fix it with a lil Epsom salt. wait, what's your medium ?

  7. Would a calcium deficiency cause the triches to grow all crazy?

  8. Wow, I've actually never seen anything like that before. Definitely not a calcium issue.

So if your humidity is low and it's not mold, what are the chances it could be a type of fungus?

  9. Yes, it's powdery mildew. Mold and mildew are two completely different things. # 1 is gray mold, causes bud rot. #2 and #3 are powdery mildew. It lives on top of the leaves. Can thrive in low humidity, and normally won't kill your plant.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
