  2. Do I have powdery mildew? if so I know why and how to prevent it in the future, and how to cure it now...just need to get an official diagnosis I'm on the fence....anyone?

  3. Yep powdery mildew. It is a systematic disease which means it's really hard to get rid of because it's INSIDE your plant but good news, the white spots are the "bloom" part of the disease that is easily killed with liquid water. It can be sprayed with a mixture of 1 : 4 of 3% h2o2 to water to keep it under control.

  4. Powdery mildew will rub off leaves. It can be safely taken care of-

    article-Got powdery mildew-get milk

The pic is unclear, but it could be water drop damage. Water drops can act as a lens and leave round dead spots on your leaves.

Teeny-tiny cream-colored spots that look like spray paint drift is usually spider mites.

Dropping by to say thanks for the response, I wasn't waiting around for one though - can't armchair commando when business needs to be handled. I already took action after looking at them today and coming to the same conclusion ( PM ) and realizing I needed to do something about it stat, before it gets bad. No mites, or signs of mites - I checked very carefully.

In regards to the milk: Didn't think the 1:9 skim milk PM fix was applicable to my situation as it's flowering, and don't want to trade one problem for another like bud rot or grey mold...although I would try that if it was just veg. I went to town cutting off any leaves I didn't like and am going to try the hydrogen peroxide PM cure ( thanks didn't know about that one ). If you want to tag this thread, either way I will update it to let you know how the h202 and PM issue worked out.

If anyone else is looking up this thread with similar issue here is the instructions for h202:

    Instructions

1 Remove any heavily infested plant foliage and stems that have wilted because of the powdery mildew. Cut off the foliage with a sharp pair of scissors or garden shears and discard them in a sealed plastic bag. Do not shake the foliage, in order to avoid spreading the mildew's spores.

2 Pour a quart of standard 3 percent-strength hydrogen peroxide--available from most drugstores--into a gallon-sized spray bottle. Add three quarts of water and shake the spray bottle to mix its contents thoroughly. If you're using a bigger or smaller bottle, adjust the measurements so you're mixing one part hydrogen peroxide and three parts water.

3 Mist the hydrogen peroxide onto your plants, focusing on areas that have powdery mildew growth. Coat the foliage until there's so much moisture that it beads and drips off of the leaves.

4 Repeat the hydrogen peroxide application once daily until the powdery mildew problem subsides. Then, apply it as needed to control any new powdery mildew growth.

Tips & Warnings: When trimming infected plant foliage, don't let the pruned stems and leaves touch uninfected plants. Hydrogen peroxide works by oxidizing the mildew cells and killing them over time. Hydrogen peroxide may take longer to kill powdery mildew than commercial mildewcide chemicals, but it is all-natural and inexpensive.

Well that was cathartic, sprayed down the ladies with the h202 3% mixed 1:4...turned the main lights off and snapped a quick pic...sorry it's a bit blurry working on that. It may be easy to confuse, but these leaves and this cola is perfect, no spots or blemishes or curls, you just see blurry water droplets in this picture that is not PM. I also sprayed down the buckets and the walls, the ceiling and the floor while I was at it. Smells really clean in there, this should do the trick, just imagining that extra Oxygen molecule attacking the PM and yeah feels good :D The ladies are probably not going to be happy about the pruning I had to do short term, but in the long-run definitely worth it. I'll keep this updated, thanks again for the responses.

Sprayed with the h202 solution again today. I was hoping for an instant miracle-cure, obviously, but is not the case so far. After the first spray, the spots were still there after it dried. The next day ( today ) I went to check on them and I noticed more of the really opaque white paint-drip spots had appeared, ...usually either on the bigger fan leaves, and the smaller leaves coming out of the flowers. I sprayed again, this time making sure to soak down all the way from the top to the bottom on the main stem, washing any small white particles off, ( which could have been PM or undissolved chelated zinc, tough to say but better safe than sorry ) as well as the branches, then sprayed the leaves top and bottom. So, going to keep this up for awhile, hoping I am not damaging the crystals or potency/quality of the flowers in any way, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Any spots I found I cut off and removed.

On an unrelated note, here is some eye candy, right? A bit better picture quality as I had promised, still maybe a bit blurry but better....this is my favorite plant by far, would consider as a mother ( unless this PM issue makes it out of the question ) ...grown from an actual tga subcool ripped bubba seed, not a clone...thing is growing some serious branches that rival the colas on some other ones - already 38 inches tall from soil - not bad. Lots of crystals on the leaves around the flowers too. Going to be nice. Anyway, here is a pic of it, has 4 stakes ( think only 2 in that pic ) to help support it and train it up. Really hope I can continue to keep this under control, I plan on using this as my personal medicine ( medical marijuana authorized ) and it really needs to be top notch, doing all I can to keep this blight at bay. If anyone else wants to chime in you are more than welcome. [IMG]
