white powder on my leaves?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by growretarded, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. i looked at one of my plants and noticed that the leaves had brown spots and a white powder covering the leaves. i wipe it off and when i come back it is back. the plant is only a few inches tall. its maybe about 2 weeks old and its growing short and bushy. anyone ever seen this before?:(

  2. Could it be a mold or a fungus? Any bugs around?

  3. sounds like powdery mildew, mix 1 table spoon of baking soda to 12 oz of water, spray the affected areas twice daily for 2-3 days

powdery mildew can not survive in alkaline conditions

  4. Yeah that's what I meant, powdery mildew. Thanks ganja.
