White Pistils HELP

Discussion in 'Marijuana Stash Box' started by LearnedDoctor, Sep 26, 2012.

  1. Hey, I just picked up a quarter oz. All the nugs looked normal except this one, the biggest one, weighing about a gram.

    This is high mids.

    Some red pistils.

    More white pistils.

White pistils are 2x thickness of red ones.

Anyone know anything about these white pistils.

  2. Those are what the pistils look like developing on the plant. That bud looks premature, which would explain why there's still many pistils yet to turn amber and recede back into the flower. It would have been better than high mids if it was grown to proper maturity probably.

  3. White pistil's turn darker towards the end of flowering.

  4. Probaly a sativa , some growers like to pull them early hence the white hairs, the trichs are mostly clear, so a better head high.

  5. Could be a bud from the lower part of the plant, where the buds are less developed than the tops.

No need to worry though, shit still looks dank. I actually have some bud right now that's got pinkish-white pistils, and it still smokes just fine.
