White leaf discoloration?

  5. the leaves turning white is due to absence of chlorophyll. the reason why might be too intense of light. try raising your light.

    assuming of course you dont have a good dose of powdery mildew. hard to tell without a snapshot.

  9. you're not looking with your good eye.

    @reggaeistheanswer just curious your general geographic location. fwiw, places like arizona are already seeing uvb readings in the 10+ range as is most of the southern half of the us. anything over 10 it's usually recommended to seek shade!

    uva and uvb...very detrimental to living organisms in high doses.

    interesting to note that unique to plant species is that they create their own flavor of sunscreen metabolicly when uv becomes harmful. your plants need some shade.

  10. I'm down in San Diego. Plants were transplanted into a fresh coots mix without cooking beforehand. Figured I would see how they do. Never seen white like that before
