Guy, let's clear this up. Gil does not hate marijuana. As chief of police in Washington, he was one of the most lenient chiefs on marijuana this country has ever seen. He was a great guy and his nomination gave us great hope. All past tense. What you hear coming from Gil is the rhetoric his job requires of him. In all fairness, he's WORLDS better than his predecessors. As for the ONDCP, it's been all but abolished. Recent years have seen it removed from the presidents cabinet. Its funding has already been axed. It's not a target worthy of our time or attention. Big Pharma is a target worthy of whatever we can throw at it.

Meh...you have to have the support of prosecutors as the Chief. Just because the prosecutors didn't want such cases, doesn't mean our buddy Gil is a swell guy. He may not hate cannabis (his actions say otherwise) but he hates PEOPLE apparently and loves money, power, and prestige associated with his present position. Don't give this asshole a free pass. If he had any scruples about him going into the job, he was more than willing to throw them away in exchange for said benefits of the new position. Anyone pushing lies, and willing to do so to perpetuate this failed system of oppression IS our enemy. Make no mistake about it. Gil is the new "unicorn" pusher and he even uses the same tired bullshit to do it. FUCK HIM.
