I was high the other night when I thought of this, so it may be a little odd. The idea behind the whirlpool bong is that the smoke will be cooled by the falling stream as well as the whirlpool. The procedure may be a little difficult, as you have to hold the bowl while flipping it. I don't think it is worth the work for a cool hit but someone can try it if they want. (The water is red for visual purposes.) Procedure: 1. Fill bowl. 2. Fill with water. 3. Take a hit. 4. Tilt to the side away from the downstem. 5. Close mouthpiece with (hand?). 6. Flip upside down and let the water go back to the top tank. 7. Repeat. How to make: 1. Tape or melt two water-bottle together (the part you drink out of) 2. Insert downstem. 3. Make a mouthpiece out of the other end of the water-bottle. 4. Great creative with it. Happy Toking
This is pretty cool, although i can never see myself going out of my way to hit one of these... if the oppertunity ever came up then of course!
Wouldn't it just be simpler to hook a small battery powered pump to the side of it that takes water from the bottom and sends it to the top? Also, this would work well for ice notches as long as there is a screen or something a little above the hole so the ice doesnt get stuff in the hole.
yah hooking up a pump to a bong is easier than not hooking up a pump... lol wtf man im adding rep for this man im holding my sides im laughing so hard
No, completely different. That's just a waterfall bong with a valve for easy use. So no water filtration. This one actually filters through the water. I doubt this design would work too well. But it would be cool for a novelty piece.
If i'm lookin at this right, and the water flows downwards, then this won't work at all. the water has to flow away from the weed for a waterfall bong to work. I've seen waterfall bongs basically like the vortex, but with a tube that extended down from the bowl almost to the bottom of the first chamber so the smoke was filtered through all the water.
