Which Strains Give Cotton Mouth?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by alexstartsagain, Nov 16, 2014.

  1. I have gotten cotton mouth before, but only from time to time.  Is an indica more likely to give me cotton mouth than a sativa?

  2. They all give me cotton mouth honestly

the more cotton mouth, the more stoned you are     so the dankest (highest thc) strains imo

  4. I have gotten cotton-mouth pretty much every single time I get high. I don't think it has anything to do with strains.

  5. Dry mouth, commonly referred to as "cotton-mouth" is essentially one of the many side affects of cannabis. Just like the increasingly red iris or red eye. It isn't specific to any strain just like red eye.

  6. red iris?
you might wanna get that checked out haha

  7. yeah man pretty much every strain of weed will give you some form of cotton mouth if you get stoned enough off it. So it depends on your body's tolerance. Right now I'm pretty high but not high enough to have cotton mouth.

I think cottonmouth has to do with being dehydrated and smoking .

  9. Your eyes get red because smoking raises blood pressure and makes the blood go to the surface of the skin and the surface of the eyes I think the correlation between red eys from being exhausted and red eyes from smoking is notable lol

    is that correct?
heres what i think: weed is a vasorelaxant/vasodilator so decreased blood pressure+wider ,more visible blood vessels

    and is that correct ?
cannabis does not dehydrate you, cotton mouth is when not enough saliva is being produced
and whether  cannabis is eaten or smoked you get cottonmouth.
sorry for being a know-it-all prick, i just hate misinformation being spread around...
probably stems from my early teenage years when everyone i knew thought weed caused brain damage and you were a 'junkie' if ya smoked it

  12. MY bud is getting better

  13. its true smoking dehydrates you if you doing it right and burns silia hairs in yo chest .

  14. Try the Leafly app or website. You can look up the strain you have, and it'll show you what people said the effects were (positive and negative) based on what was most prevalent.

  15. I don't know about this, because I get really bad cottonmouth from edibles.
