Alright so Im getting a scale for Christmas and am the one actually buying it which is weird but anyways. There are two models im looking at, one is 0.1 g accuracy and costs $40 the other is 0.01g accuracy and costs $60. The only reason im even considering the more precise one is because once in a while ill probably want to weigh stuff besides weed (powders etc.) where the measurements need to be much more precise. Do you think that 0.01g scale is good enough quality to do that or would you use a 0.001g scale and/or a more expensive higher quality one? Also do you think being able to have this extra precision is worth $20? Oh and both scales are made by the same company and are even the same model just with that difference.
I know for weed, for me, even a tenth of a gram is overkill. As long as it does grams (or even tenths of an ounce), that's good enough for me. As long as I can calibrate it with dollar bills, I'm set. But if you're gonna measure lightweight stuff, then go for the $60 one. Those prices are reasonable. You can get scales off Ebay for a lot cheaper, of course. But I assume that goes without saying.
