Hydrofarm T5 Designer Fluorescent Grow Lights - Plantlighting Hydroponics & Grow Lights I'll probably be growing 2-4 plants at once, but that's it.

What are your plans...is this for a veg chamber...do you want to have continues growing cycles with only 2-4 plants(only 2-4 plants makes me think its just for personal use)? I personally just have a mother plant under 2x 23watt cfls and just do more plants at one time so I don't have to be continually growing, when I get about 3 months from running out of smoke I start another grow. I veg and flower under a 400watt MH/HPS (electric ballast so it takes both bulbs)...but im sure the light you posted would work great for vegging just seems like its not worth the money if your only gonna be vegging 2-4 plants, keeping in mind im kinda a tight ass with my money
For just vegging a couple of plants or even a dozen clones, the T-5 would be fine. The problem is that the T-5s cost as much, if not more, than the HPS. You could certainly grow a couple of nice producers under a 400w HPS from start to finish. I think the HPS has more to offer in the long run.....
I ended up getting the 6 lights @ 6500k, it's been working great so far. My grow log is in my signature, in about an hour or so I will probably be uploading pics from today. I plan on eventually using MH for veg but that is when my grows are bigger (probably next year after I move to Colorado), but this is all I wanted/needed. When I do switch up my equipment, these lights will be used for cloning and MH for veg.
