Which Lights to Use?

    i need to know what are some cheap lights that wont make my power bill go up alot to where its noticable

    Any light will make your power bill go up some and do the fact that there on for along time for many months its usually noticeable somewhat.

    CFLs, T5s can be low power. LEDs can as well. They sell 150w HPS lights to.

    To figure out how noticeable it is. Look at your power bill for the cost per kilowatt hour. Plug that into this and you will see how much it adds.

    factors for answering this question.
    Size of grow area, ability to ventilate heat, budget, how many plants you wanna grow. I think are the big things.

    T5's are flourescent tubes that have increased output in lumens over the t8s and t12.
    cfl's are even lesser powered.. but from what I've seen go into growing just one plant.. you'd be better off with HID.
    and thats where HID comes in, Metal halide and high pressure sodium. the most efficient bulbs by lumens per watt, and most likely the best.

    I wouldn't even go near LEDs, they're great for veg growth, but leave quite a bit to be desired in budding. (from what i've seen with side by side experiments)
