Which is more dangerous?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by JRR Tokin', Jun 12, 2006.

  1. Ok, me and my buddies were having this argument the other day, it went like this:

One for one, like if you smoked the same amount of joints and cigarettes, which would kill you faster?

(I'm talking pure weed joints versus normal cigarettes.)

It all started when someone said, "weed has four times the amount of carcinogens then cigs" or something, and then i said "but how many more cigs do you smoke if you're a smoker". So then we got to wondering, which is actually more dangerous, one for one?

    What are your opinions?

    Peace:smoke:.

  2. I read somewhere THC doesn't promote cancer where cigs do. WIth that alone, I'm going with the cigs being worse one for one. But if they are that worried about their health, they shouldnt be smoking to begin with imo.

  3. I will say cigs to bro they r mad harsh, I can't even smoke a cig anymore, they choke me. I can on the other hand smoke alot of pot, and I feel fine. Yeah cigs r the devil fo sho. :D JOE>

  4. When smoking marijuana, the only true concern is keeping your avioles from shutting down.

These are the cellular membranes where CO2 and O2 is exchanged. When smoking ANYTHING they will shut down, temporarily. If you constantly exercise your cardiovascular system, they re-awaken and your lung capacity can be almost fully restored.

If you smoke prolonged and don't exercise then scar tissue begins to form, which is irreverable.

  5. cigs hands down. i dont rcall seeing any rat poison or amonium in my weed.

  6. Wasn't there a study just released that said that long term habitual marijuana use is not linked to lung cancer? rep to the first person who finds a link. :)

Anyway, I think weed is way healthier for you than alcohol or tobacco, no question.

  7. i actually had this discussion in my law class
it was Why is tobacco legal when Marijuana isnt?

i heard that there are no proven experiments where smoking weed has harmful effects.

  8. Ciggs. Hands down end of story.

  9. Good shit guys

    thats what i'm sayin!

+rep for the link givers / helpful peeps.
