I am also looking for a good 400w setup. I have found one on eBay for $120+$40 shipping but I don't know how well the reflector can be cooled?

I got the 400 watt MH/HPS combo set up from htgsupply.com @ ebay for 164 bucks and it seems to be the best deal out there so far, but that's my oppinion.

i haven't actually used these though. i was planning to buy them, but it turned out i need some 600w HPS lights, and i ended up finding a really good deal on digital air-cooled lights. so i really took a step up from those original ones.

Its hard to find better quality and price than from HTGSupply. They have really great prices and the quality is amazing.

 

I like the price on the cooltubes here ($59.00). It's hard to get a 400W digital ballast for $86.00. Great deal as well.

at all my local hydro stores, prices are astronomical compared to what i can get off HTG. for just a basic light, it's like twice as much for what i paid for a sweet digi light.

 

I'd jump on that right away, but it doesn't come with a MH bulb like the others

 

You can add one in for another $13. That website sucks real bad, but they are good folks running that store. Do the order by phone if you can't get what you need by the site. I do them by phone from them all the time.

 

ya Maryland hydroponics is sweet. i was actually gonna buy my MH bulbs from them

 

dont order from inside sun. i bought a 400 mh, listing of bulb missleading and ballast very cheap. took me 3 weeks to get it clear what i was getting then the owner said it was my fault.

 

their stuff is nice. first order went great. ordered a second 400hps and they charged my card a week ago, last unit arrived in 3 days. this one hasn't arrived yet. called them today and they couldn't tell me when unit was shipped. i could hear them trying to put the order together in the background. they assured me it was shipped already, however. gave me a tracking number that didn't exist. called them back and they hung up on me. WTF???
