i live in north jersey and its getting about time to go to college and move out and i have no clue where i want to go, all i know is i want to experience life outside of my little new jersey town and not stay in jersey.

i always liked the city and some of the places that seem chill [other then big cities] are Vermont and Colorado. i dont like snowboard or anything so the weather isnt why and im not really an outdoors type of person like i dont go on hikes or anything and it seems like vermont and colorado are like that.

i just dont know if id like it there since ive never really been to far out of new jersey other then seattle, but seattle seemed nice just a little to artsy for me [no offence to anyone out there, im not really musical, or good at art or anything but weed does make me pretty creative and more open minded then i am normally]

so i just dont know where i should go to college because i really need to decide soon. i hear boulder university is sick and they have a huge 4/20 fest but i dont want to go to college because of weed, but colleges where i would have a good weed hookup is always a plus and in states that are more lenient and getting caught with a few grams wont be the end of my college funds from the state [loans] . peace

btw i know you guys shouldnt decide for me but some good college suggestions would help, o and also dont say stay in state because it is cheaper because im almost positive new jersey is one of the only states that dont offer that. thanks

Edit: i have no clue why i want to go to these places. i just remember vermont was pretty nice when i used to go there when i was little [during summer] and now i have my friends bro telling me about how great it is up there, cops dont care if your drunk [underage] as long as your not like throwing shit, but i dont want to go to a college because of weed and shit because obviously if i have weed surrounding me ill just live high and risk not being able to receive loans, and risk failing because ill be high all the time.

but colorado does seem nice and i here Boulder University has good bud, good parties, not to mention the famous 4/20 smoke out. but i was also thinking vermont would be better because all i have to do is drive 4 hours if i get homesick as opposed to fly 4 hours.

so let me know some good colleges in vermont, and i dont know what i want to do yet so its not like i can base my decision off of that. right now im going off of what states i like and would want to live in for the next 4 years but please dont tell me to just not go until i decide because i know if i "take a year off" it will turn into more then that and going back to school will be even harder.

I was looking at Burlington university because it doesnt seem to hard to get into. the only thing is vermont is known for snowboarding and like hiking and im not into that but i could see myself getting into snowboarding, sorry im rambling lol let me know some good vermont schools and what you think of boulder pce.

  2. Pacific northwest I think that would be a pretty cool place to go to college, and good weed.

  3. Vermont is great. Just saying. But in reality, you should go to a college in Mass and then slowly make your way to Vermont.

  4. Sorry but college is no place for potheads.

  5. Perhaps ITT Tech is a better fit for someone with your rhetorical skills.

  6. not true. and i think its a little hypocritical that your on a forum made for "potheads" and your criticizing them saying that people who smoke weed shouldnt go to college?

  7. West Virgina University , you will not regret it .

  8. Depends. What do you want to study?

  9. no i dont want to go to a tech school, i want to go to a college and get a 4 year degree and figure out what i want to do in my life. but i want to go to a university.

  10. I go to Michigan State... It's a great time and a good school too. Good weed, great parties, great people. We rank really high on any lists of party schools and your degree is respected too.

  11. Go all the way to the top go to none other than UCLA!!!!! I'll see you there bitches!!!!

  12. Take some time off if you have to, if you're asking this question you shouldn't be going to college right away. If you don't know exactly what you want to study, or where you want to attend, why uproot your entire life?

  13. Well, I have you ever thought of NYC? My older brother went to NYU, and there a sure definitely a hella lot of Universities there. NYU,Fordham,Columbia, Rockefeller, etc. I was born in Seattle, and I get what you mean. The place is amazing during the Summer, but during the spring, its not the best place and is always dripping with rain.

  14. Canada - cheap and chill

  15. Go to a college for the college. Not the weed and its location. If you are going to pay for school go to school. Not waste four years fucking around.

  16. I'm going to Michigan State University this fall and I make frequent visits to many of my friends there on the weekends.

DET is right; good people, parties, academics and it has a chill atmosphere. If you have anything above a 3.2, I would apply, I got in and I had a 3.6 and 26 on my ACT, but idk what SAT score you would need.

  17. Stony "Stoner" Brook University in LI, i liked it there n theres always bud/ ppl to smoke with

  18. yess. i may have gotten lucky and not seen what seattle is really like, because i went for a week during the summer and my aunt and uncle were saying how lucky i got that it didnt rain.

  19. Never base your college choice even slightly off of the weed there. ANY college will have weed, and all you have to do is ask around. I go to a tiny college and I get pretty good shit from a guy I just met here.

  20. yea i know im not, i just edited the post and said how i dont know what im going to major in so im going off of what areas i like and what colleges i can get into around there. the only thing im nervous about is roommates. because how much will it suck if i get stuck with some anti weed kid? because i dont have to many friends now [like 2 real friends, then some kids i hang with sometimes] and im banking on making friends with my roommate.
