Where do I buy all these things I need? Sodium light(forget actual name) ferts fans watering equipment. pretty much everything for growing..... there are guides and guides for how to set it up but none on where to get it... also. I live in vancouver BC. and if I go and buy all this stuff witht hey be suspicious of a grow op? Also how do i know what the best ferts are? Also if Im only going to grow 4 plants? what lighting should I use and are there a difference in light bulbs specifically? could I just use a normal lamp??? Jeff
You can buy some of the stuff from walmart I think a grow box would cost around $30,intake/exhaust fan $14 the lights $26.I think you can get the nutes and soil at home depot though.And no you can't use a normal lamp.I forgot what kind.Man I'm trynna get started just like you when you get started post how things go.
hps is the lights i think your on about and soils i heard fox farm are the best. Youll need perlite to for better drainage in the soil. Ferts i heard fox farm are good again but youll need one for veg and one for flowering. As for buying them i wouldnt kno as i live in the uk lol but good luck on your quest
htg garden supply is use a lot in the US. Any Hydro store will carry all your supplies. You will want a 400 watt hps, grow tent unless your growing in your closet. A inline fan. to vent with. A carbon filter bought at hydro store or you can DIY one. I would go with soil. Fox farm ocean forest or pro mix. Fox farm are good nutes if you want to re use the soil then you need to go Organic. You can use roots organic soil, fox farm ocean forest, pro mix, or make your own. For nutes check out blue mountain organics and/or dr earth, advance nutrients organic line, Guano company, Roots organic, ummm iguana juice. If you google organic nutrients you will find ton of information. You can not just use a normal lamp, it will not work. Hps is the best grow set up to have 400 watts will work very well. If you want to go cheaper then check out CFL grows. You will need to research the lights needed for veg and bloom. Expect to spend min 400 USD for a hps set up, if you go CFL I don't kniow I guess you could get away with 150 or 200 USD. I hoped I helped.
Thanks a lot for the help guys! I plan on having 4 plants. I am going to grow 1 to start because im prolly gonna fuk up like 10 times before I can get it down right. My biggest fear, is going out and getting stuff that I dont need. Thanks hatch for the list. 4 plants isnt that much. Do I use different bulbs for flowering as aposed to the initial 2 weeks(forgot name im a noob) Also. Ferts and Nutes are differnt am I right? I plan on watering it by hand no auto watering for now. Could I jsut have a watering can with nutrients in it and then fert in the soil? Will all the instructions be on the begs and cans for the ferts and nutes? ----------------------- Tell me this!! Ifu bought the dirty dozen organic kit it has everythings minus grow enivorment and carbon filter. Bare basic is soil water light and nutriens

Well I would get a carbon filter. If your trying to retro fit a metal file cabinet you may have to rent a plasma saw, lol at that point is when I lost interest. I had just purchased the dirty dozen 3 days ago from htgsupply. Luckily it was within driving distance and used cash. Getting last of the supplies this weekend and starting my first grow as well. Clerk knew what i was doing and threw in some additional samples. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morn. Starting with bag seed to get it down then find a seed bank. Good luck with your grow.
