When would you flip them to 12/12?

  1. Just a quick question. When would you flip them to 12/12? Now? In a few days? Another 2 weeks? Reason I'm asking is just to see the opinions of experienced people. Not sure how strong the 'stretch' is in flower. Looking at the pic below. They almost fill the tent but not quite there. It's a small tent anyway, it's a 2x4. And I believe it's only about 175cm high.

  2. Flip them now. What strains?

  3. White Widow and orange cookies.
Regarding them being really bright light green. I'm guessing that's nitrogen maybe? Although they been getting fed daily recently with 1.6-1.7 EC I thought that's quite a lot? If I was going to give them more nitrogen is it possible for that green to go darker? Or will It not change colour now? Only on new growth?

  4. I would guess nitrogen deficiency too. I'm a soil grower, so I will let a coco grower who knows nutes jump in.

  5. I've got that same Mars Hydro 2x4 and that Mars TS 2000 is a nice light. I'll agree with the guy above, there is a small nitrogen deficiency. I would load up with some more Nitrogen over the next 10-14 days to prepare for the stretch.

  6. Yea just prepared another mix and pumped it up with nitrogen quite a bit. Oh wow same set ups haha. The Mars team. Yeah lots of people often diss LED's etc. But this Mars TSL2000 is actually really good for that price. Finished a grow with it already and the quality was decent. How many plants you usually do in that 2x4?

  7. I usually use it just for veg or cloning, so anywhere from 10-200 haha. It is one of my many tents, and it is lit with an HLG 100. I've got 2 mars hydro sp 250s that I use in my 4x4 and they are grrrreat. I'm going to finish building a 2 site recirculating system for that 2 x 4 to flip faster and try new nutrient lines in and start to veg in my 5 x 5.

  8. Oh right that sounds great. Do you grow in coco or something else?
I did my first grow in soil. Now swapped to a pebble/Coco mix. And them girls are thirstyyy. Compared to soil it's so different. But I do see the positives as well. It grows much quicker in my eyes. Oh yeah seen them sp250s they look great as well

  9. I grow in everything. I started with Hydro and I would definitely say it is my preferred method. Currently I have nothing in coco, just deep water and dirt.

  10. Meant to ask too, what size pots are they in now?

  11. 5 gal pots (I think that's 22 litres)
I just go from small pots. A bit bigger than solo cups. Straight to the final 5 gal pot. Although I recently heard lots of people just use 3gal as final pots. Always thought that would get root bound in 3 and a half or 4 months

  12. All good. I've done plants inside in 40 gal, 25 and 10.

  13. 40 Gal :O
    Can't imagine lifting that lol.
Ends up like a tree probably.
Just curious, when you switch to flower. Do you do a 24 or 36 hour darkness? Or do you just flip from 18/6 to 12/12 straight away

  14. Straight to 12/12.

  15. Straight flip. When the hell has there ever been an eclipse that long? I actually do a gradual switch a few days before just knocking off an hour on either side till I hit 12/12.

  16. Well yeah it doesn't make any sense. Was just wondering as seen lots of people on here that do a 24 hour darkness and claim it triggers the flowering mode quicker according to them.

  17. That's bro science. Sativanaspliff spreads truth.

  19. Damn. Fat stems. I was going to ask you since you have quite a lot of experience. Roughly how often and how many litres/galons have you watered adult plants when you had them in coco? Let's say in 3-8gal pots if that was ever a case for you. Just wondering as I'm watering them everyday now with literally like 3 litres per plant. And they seem to be thirsty again after 10-12 hours. I always hard that obviously in hydro/Coco etc you do water more often etc. But still, 3 litres everyday and they still are thirsty. That's a lottt

  20. Sounds about right. Are you getting any runoff with that amount; and if yes, how much?
