  1. When the 20 million Americans who smoke it get politically active. If we banded together we would comprise the largest political organization (outside of Dem and Rep) in the states. Think of it, 20 million people all working towards the same goal. Together we can blow prohibition to atoms and topple the laws that opress us. STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!

  2. i think everyone from every state that smokes pot should get together and go to a state building and on April 20, at 4:20 we should all light up a joint!
what are they going to do arrest everyone?
    in the already crowded jails?
    i dont think so

  3. Never.................

for so many reasons ,It will take you years to learn all of them. Some are glaring ,some quite subtle.

The main reason is lack of interest in making any change by most marijuana users .

After many poles (and years) I realize that the vast majority of pot smokers could "care" less ,and are interested in "doing" nothing.

    and there it is............

  4. ...the war on terrorism has, by proxy, included hard drugs and their processing, delivery, sale, mfg., etc. They are chemical weapons of mass destruction. So, if we can stay out of the way of that then maybe they'll make the distinction between hard drugs and a little weed or hash. LSD and mushrooms are still too risky for them to ignore because of their unpredictable effects on various people at different stages and circumstances of their lives. Personally, I don't think it's possible to "master" the LSD experience. Again, if we just stay out of their way maybe we'll see it here somewhat like we've seen it in the Netherlands and progress from there. The one thing I'd like to see is legalized indoor personal growing in the USA. Adults only of course; after successfully completing a MJ cultivation and useages seminar and exam. Make it renewable and tax deductable based on the estimated street value of your annual yield. Let's say we can be licensed to grow and you can only get approved after your set-up and eqiupment is deemed safe, energy-efficient and will only allow a single household to produce 1-3 lbs. per year or whatever you can get out of 50-100 cubic feet. Not too small and not too big. Not too little and not too much. However, personal sales of it for cash should not be legal while trading or bartering with it would be. Not that you could actually pay a bill with buds but maybe get your house painted for a 1/2 pound of good weed. Or use it to buy a draft horse or a few hogs and chickens. Because it's already on, I suggest staying out of the way of the war on WMD's and just keep your MJ hobby where you keep your underwear. Appearances of things matter a lot to presidents, congressman, governors, DEA/ATF, mayors, township supervisors, boards of trustees, police chiefs, cops, employers and neighbors. If the MJ culture is to be judged then let it be on appearances or the lack of them. That rules out outdoor growing except perhaps for medical and hemp products. It might also be wise to keep your feelings off of the street as well. Nothing else has worked. Just stay out of the way of the war on drugs because the search for WMD's includes hard drugs and things associated with their mass production and distribution including the players of that game. Also, I don't want to know how much money I've spent on MJ over the last 32 years until the day I die. If ever. And fuck the people who would make me dependent on them for my weed. Fuck 'em all because that sets up a dangerous codependency where if you keep it off the streets and in your own home you become independant of the riskiest and most insidious aspects of the entire picture. Everybody knows that people fuck. They just don't want to see it in their streets and schools. They don't want to see their kids or other people's kids doing it and who in their right mind would lobby for it? There has to be a universal sentiment that marijuana belongs in civilized society and can be as friendly as a flower.

  5. Phyll,

    good thoughts.............

..........let me chew on all of that for a bit.

I'm 51 ,and feel you views on pot , it's legality/lack thereof are running somewhat parallel to my own.

I'm cutting and pasting to another group for some other feedback.....................from some very young smokers.

    .......but for my interests ...............

I just I enjoyed a concise and easilly comprehendible writing.

    THX.

ps.........my eyes are bad..........double spacing would be great so the lines don't blurr so much

  6. hm probbaly not anytime soon maybe sometimes before i die ..ive probably got antoher 50 or so years left.

i thought that by the time "my generation" is in power that it would be legalized. i guess because i think that by then there will be a much more liberal view on everything. i think the reason it didnt work that way in the 60's - 70's was because everybody smoked pot right and tripped on cid and all that ..many of them are either still living on the corner of haight and ashbury or got jobs that were on the other side of the spectrum from congressman, senators and presidents.
and since i think "my generation" is the next "60's" generation with lsd being replaced by ecstacy that there may be some radical change.

but in the us, i now doubt it willever be legalized atleast not in my lifetime seeing as there will always be somebody that disagrees somebody that was brainwashed to believe pot is bad ..it will take some time for our goverment to turn around (after theyve stolen everything they want - whicih will be hard because there will always be something more that they would like to steal)

i would say you can count on decriminzlation in all states (which i guess is good enough for me seeing as im moving the fuck out of here as soon as i save up enough money) but dont get your hopes up for full on toking in the streets, local coffeshops, and "marijauna recreation areas" or parks ..or whatever may come along with legalization.

it will take alot of time and alot of effort but who knows some day we might, just might get there so keep your stick on the ice. were all in the same boat. ..if you care so deeply about this dont let the myths of zero-motivation be true ...dont let other do all the work

it will take all of us andd everything weve got. we have to stand up for what we believe in and know in our hearts is right. really can so many people be wrong? (us) wait yes obvosuly so many people can be wrong ..marijuana is still illegal inst it? and thats what we gootta change.

  7. Why in the world would people want to walk down the streets of their town or anyone else's town smoking a big joint or a bong in plain view of everyone else? I would not expect that to happen with decriminalization, etc. We already have people walking around with Prozac, Zoloft, Valium, Thorazine and Viagra in their systems...Brother, that's too crazy for me as it is! Stranger things have happened but it doesn't mean things should change that much. I think the MJ culture was always meant to be a low-profile and low-visiblity affair even if it becomes decriminalized. Yeah, make the necessary changes but do what has to done to keep it special. That would go a long way in winning the respect of people who otherwise see the MJ culture as a scourge on society. By emphasizing the lack of appearance of the MJ culture the negative sentiment towards it's history could change. Since most people are somehow aware of the culture then the least visible image is the most positive because of the history of it. Re-writing history would be a waste of time. We're stuck with it for now.

  8. I want weed leagalized as much as the next person, but there are down sides that would trail. How many of you are dealers? If weed were leagalized you would lose all your business. If you had a tomato garden, would you still go buy them from jewel? And out of curiousity do any of you think that weed will tun to the worst like tobacco? Tobbaco started out as something to do for pleasure just like weed, and now years down the line, there are a million chemicals to make it addictive. It could happen. Ill stick with eating my own tomatos lol ill never buy weed from a store, no true stoner would.

  9. they'll legalize it when they figure out they'll earn more money off of taxing bud then cigarettes.....but shit, the White House cats wont do that cus it'll be goin against wut they've enforced so long.....it'll put doubt about America's government into the minds of patriots.....and they dont want that.......

  10. i hate postin 2 in row, but i had to comment on this....

yeah, dealers would loose business, but not growers.....see, if pot were legalized, they would have to find growers to grow for the public, and then the growers would be taxed.....see if pot were legal or illegal, a grower would still earn money......

  11. Yea but how often do you see "Tobacco growers wanted?"

  12. never, but i've seen "Marijuana growers wanted"......

  13. If a person's only way to make money is to sell drugs illegally
then I'd say that person hasn't done shit to earn a living. Earning a living in America means you do it above the table.

  14. Yous guy should live in Alaska, The state of alaska has made smoking pot a choice not a crime...At least where I live. Anyhoo Im allowd to grow on my property 4 plants that weigh up to a half pound a piece and have 4 ounces Ready for use. Its kinda nice... I cant really tell you where I live.

So just remember, the criminalization will be over soon.

    Peace

  15. dumb people think weed is bad what about cigs or acohol they do the same shit they just want to make money off finds. probly if they made it legal the whole contry would fall apart for not haveing n e money.

  16. I feel that we all need to put on the best face of marijuana use.

I enjoy it mainly for the intoxicating effect that is like stepping out of my life and looking at my life in different perspective.

It is helpful for skeletal, muscular and nerve disabilities. I personally have had aprox. $3000. in medical exam's that couldn't locate the source of neck and back trouble. Weed helps when nothing else does.

My wife and I enjoy the effects on our sex life. It makes me go a lot longer and she gets better sexual pleasure. (Be sure and try this at home.)

There aren't enough public ads that tell the good side of weed. Word of mouth is good, bumper stickers are also great.

    Nice high day to all!

  17. yeah, bumperstickers, however stupid it sounds , are probably a good way of letting the world know your opinion, however be ready to be pulled over a lot when the police sees it :D

the point is : let the world around you know your opinion on the matter.
    Silence has never shanged anything.

here i live it is still illegal, but the polise are ordered to not arrest ppl for smoking it , only if they are selling it. wich isnt exactly legalisation, but it is sure better than before when everyone was busted for weed, nomatter how much u had.

i guess the main reason for the softening of the weed laws was the fact that 1 time every year there is a march that is pro legalisation of marihuana. this march isnt violent or extreme in any way, it doesnt have to be , the discussion around the theme gets the people to think , and that includes the politicians.

just keep the discussion alive and the laws will soften, as right is.

  18. Leave copies of high times and cannibis culture or pages from them around for public at large to look at.

Who wouldn't think a full page pic of a nice hybrid bud isn't a beauitiful thing?

  19. If u look at the reasons why Cannabis was made illegal then you'll see why it would be a huge leap for it to be decriminalized.
Even today Cannabis users are looked upon as being anti social drop out rejects who spend all there time smoking joints! Burnouts! Stoners! Hippies! etc..
Until the day that cannabis users are looked upon as being normal people then it will remain illegal!
Ignorance cannot be overcome with rational thought!
    CWL

  20. if we want it done do something!!!
    get jobs in the government
    in congress
make it what u want it!
