When will pot be legal?

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by PanamaRed420, Feb 17, 2005.

  1. Every night me and my buddies get together and talk about when we think pot will be legal. We came up with when out genration gets in office. (we r around 20). what do u think?

  2. thanks for the weclome

  3. I don't know... i know it'll almost certainly become (PERMANTLY) decriminalized in canada within the next 8 years. Then the U.S. will have to decide. Not sure if it'll be LEGALIZED in our lifetimes. But hey; it's something we can strive for when the next generation of pot smokers make their debut.

  4. what r the laws in canada about weed right now?

  5. It is currently criminal to be in possession of marijuana, there are no laws governing paraphinalia, hemp products are legal. I'm unsure about hemp growing laws in the other provinces but it is illegal to grow hemp in Ontario.

Though, cops in canada are alot more relaxed. I've had cops drive by and look right at me while i sit at a park bench smoking a blunt... they're sensible for the most part.

  6. Well, im still gonna smoke it even if its not legal, and when it is legal which probably won't happen ill smoke it then too :smoke:

  7. Exactly...

  8. HIGH All, here read this..it says it All.

  9. is the best and only hope....full legalization will NEVER happen in the US.

    its simple...

anything that would mean a loss of Federal, State, or even local revenues having to do with Marijuana will stop any hope of legalization.

The Government has invested too many years and dollars into the National Brainwash that this drug is Horrible for the youth of the country. And a leading gateway drug into worse drugs.

The Government has Manipulated the People into Believing the dangers of Marijuana is a major factor in needing to wage "the war on drugs" This war has supplied far too many Jobs in law enforcement on all levels of govenment.

All the way down to the cop walkin the beat....The last thing that will happen is the loss of "created jobs" that make any administration look "good". Taxpayers demand they see their dollars at work....I give you The war on drugs...

The DEA comes on TV showing a 100 kilos of weed from a bust and all the viewers who have been Brainwashed think..they're really making a difference....meanwhile 100 kids die doing crack or X or other manufactured drugs.

The Tobacco industry. They have been ready to go for decades with Marijuana production. However, now that over the last decade the real dangers of smoking cigarettes have finally been admitted to and proven for all to see.

The once extremely powerful industry does not have anything to back their production of a "new smoke product"....The decades of LIES over Tobacco has ruined the credibility of studies, or comments made by the industry in support of producing Marijuana as a sellable item.....Lies do have a way of coming back to hurt and they have.

Finallly and most disheartening is the simple fact the the people of the United States have become increasingly ignorant. The general public does not think as intelligent individuals. The thinking has been left up to those we elect to do our thinking for us. Most people really believe that our government works for us.

That may have been the initial intention when the government was formulated. The harsh true is our leaders have not worked for the people is so many decades that if they suddenly did kaos would insue. It's so much easier for a few to make the decisions and the rest too follow. That is exactly what the American public has been trained to do. This fact will not change simply because we also have been taught to be mentally lazy. Niether of these will change.

It very sad to realise that 7 out of 10 people walking down the street dont know the difference between legalization and decriminalization...even sadder that the same number of people cant answer simple questions about American history.

put this to the test....ask a couple dozen people what the difference is and you to will understand what I mean.

  10. It may not be so hopeless as it seems. If a lot of countries besides the U.S. are decriminalizing it this could force the government to change their policies towards drugs, possibly leading to decriminalization.

  11. most cop k-town ont are scerd of the stoners....

  12. please eat some fucked up stuff so that happens soon.

  13. hahaha thats a great movie, super troopers is one of my favorite movies of all time

  14. im pretty young. id say it might be legalized before i die if i live long enough.

  15. I doubt in my lifetime and I'm 23.

Maybe when my kids are in their 40's or something. Or maybe when monkeys fly out of my ass. Whichever comes first.

  16. as far as i am concerned, never. because i will be dead by the time it is.

and about the youre generation getting into office when it is legalized, i dont think so. you think youre the first generation that wants pot legalized? hell no. all the people who want it legalized probably arent going to be the ones who get into office.

  18. +rep for immortal tech.

the first step to full legalization is education, followed by widely accepted medical use
