Okay guys ive made it to the final weeks. I'm in week 7-8 of flowering.. When should I start flushing and when should I cut. I attached a few pics thanks
According to this research, flushing does not do what flushers think it does: Irrigation Management Strategies for Medical Cannabis in Controlled Environments "Flushing was found to be ineffective in removing any significant amount of nutrient from the bud. And New Research Shows Flushing Plants Before Harvest May Be Unnecessary
You basically flush when you don't know what your doing or whats going on. If you over nutrient your plants then flush .. Some people flush before harvest and some don't .. If you want to know what's in your water then you will have to buy a nutrient PhotoMeter and the reagents . Its about a grand $. There is also two types of hydro growers ,, sterilized and un sterilized .which one are you ? Best of luck
Great article for sure, neither really proves or disproves it in my opinion still leaves it up to the grower and how they like their product. As they state within the article though usually a flush is the result of over feeding your girls so go easy on them, easier to add nutes to a deficiency than to remove from a toxicity! When to harvest is a topic of much disagreement. Most people get a 30-60x magnifier to look at trichomes. When a certain percentage of the trichomes are yellowish, people harvest. Some people like 5% yellow, others 80% yellowish. This is a good article: When is the Best Time to Harvest Marijuana Buds? | Grow Weed Easy
