How tall or developed should the plants be before i start the bending process? Mine is about a foot now with the first set of seven leaves forming. If anyone has any information to help me that would be great! Peaceeee
Well, Im doing experiments right now, seeing if age of the plant matters with bend training. So far the easiest way is when the stem is still a little soft and bendable. if the stem is hard, then i would bend it all the way till u think is the limit, and tie it off, then a week later, tie it more. it will loose more resistance. Goodluck, hope this hailps
Bend training? For guerilla grows, right? Basically growing the plants more sideways??? LoL... I think that's what you're talking about. I don't really know when to start, but I'm interested to find out - as I have a small geurilla grow goin, and it would be cool to make them less noticable.
i do it when they're young. as thc101 said it's easier before the stem is too stiff. i laso like to do it at the same time i topp them, so the secondary branches grow up. here is a pic of a plant i just topped and tied down yesterday.
i would say cottons is talking about tying down his plants to hide them and thc 101 would be talking about training them 2 differnt things there...you lot better sort out what your talkng about...lol...
I was talking about when young, get 2 strings, one at the bottem of the plant, and one at the top bending it over, the purpose is to keep it low and unnoticable. good for outdoor grows, and LST+toppin increases yeild in numbers, especially outdoor with longer veg times. basicly training them to grow horizontally. the side branches soon get as big as a plant itself. so pretty much a bunch of plants on one. hope this helps... ah, off for a bong rip
if yours are at a foot than thats fine to bend them... No need to bend them under a foot because plants are still small...
