when shoudl i remove the zip bags ?

    Hi

    I planted 3 seeds yesterday to paper cups and placed a zip bag over each to keep in moisture. one of the seedlings has sprouted and has two small leaves, one of the others have just broke the surface ane one has still to show.

    They are under 250w cfl temps 74 humidity 45/50% canna pro soil

    when should i remove the bags and when should i change to 18/6 ?

    Bags should be removed as soon as the seedling breaks soil. After they have broke soil, the bag is only hindering them by preventing light that they desperately crave.

    Thanks stacked.

    Just removed the bags and noticed that all three have sprouted, two still have the seed shells on them and the other is standing tall:D. thanks for the help.

    Humidity is 45% temps 75 deg light 24/7, does that sound okay?

    id say you need more humidity matey! id aim for nearer 70% humidity whilst their seedlings!;)

    i have a humidity problem then. i'm floating around 35%, i have a humidifier I got from goodwill, but now i'm not so sure about it. How else can I increase it? will watering them increase it?

    you can leave the clingfilm on a bit longer, pinprick lil holes once they get their 1st set of true leaves. your humidity is fine, pop your hygrometer under the clingfilm, (not on top of ya ladies!) and youll see its above 80%! this is good!


    also, if ya wanna increase humidity put a dish of water in there with a fan pointin at it!

    I had a humidity problem in my tent. After reading that someone else got a cool mist humidifier at Walmart, I also got one. My humidity sits at a constant 40-55% (40 with tent open 55 with it fully sealed). So just a thought if you can fit 20-25 bucks into your grow budget.

    Hey,

    Checked again today and humidity has dropped to 39 so i sprayed the mylar with water to see if that make a diffrenece. If not i'll put a dish nt later with the fan on it.

    Temps are fine at 77d

    It doesn't seem to be bothering them that much thoough, 2 of the seedlings have started sprouting there first leafs and the other i just managed to carefully knock off the seeds shell so i.m sure it will catch up. You can see a diffrence everytime i check on them.
