When is the right age?

It varies on opinions and people. I think that around 16(ish) is the right age in MY opinion. But sometimes it depends on the person whose smoking, some people are like 25 and can't handle smoking, but some are 14 and understand the concept, are mature about, and what not.

 

I think my first time was around 13, but I didn't start smoking steadily till about 15. I feel like 13 was a bit young... Freshman year would be a good time. Thats like 14 or 15? But maybe thats just cause everyone in my town smokes haha

 

Whether you want to or not, you cant control when your child starts smoking weed if he/she does, the only thing you can do is properly educate them about everything.

Age is just a number, when you're ready you will know because you will try it.

 

15 is a good age to start in my opinion

 

Like most things, you'll probably 'feel' the right time. Such as other stuff, you'll probs have to mention about puberty etc which will come up whenever it does, whenever they're ready. Don't pin an age on it, wait for it to feel right.

 

I started smoking when I was 15, and I kind of wish I hadn't, but at the same time I'm glad I discovered the herb. The reason I wish I hadn't is because it really did get me off track in school, when I first started smoking I had to do it a lot, and school wasn't my priority anymore which is a huge problem. If my kid(s) can do well in school and hold up a job when they're 16/17 I really wouldn't care, as long as they have their shit together. If they just sit at home and fail highschool and don't do anything except weed, then they're getting the fuck out.

I'd say 16ish for most people but yeah it varies. I never really smoked til I was 17 but up until I was 16 I was still under the impression that weed is a terrible drug that's gonna kill you and make you permanently retarded and then shrivel up and die

I think when they enter high school, let them know of drugs, what they do, the dangers involved, etc.

Educate them with the truth so they are not one of those ignorant kids who want to smoke bud cause it looks cool

 

a good friend of mines dad introduced him to weed on his 16th birthday. Since then he has been one of the biggest stoners i've ever known but still has a job and everything. His dad is a very successful businessman and smokes with us all the time. Has told us stories about every drug hes ever done. He really stressed the fact that we should only do drugs that we know exactly what they are and that they are legit, like pharmacy drugs. He told us crazy stories about acid and stuff, but he also grew up in a different time when that stuff was on the up and up and not so shady. needless to say i didnt take his advice and i love acid.

 

oh. So when kids accidentally get girls pregnant, that means they are ready to be parents?

I don't think anyone under 18 should be smoking pot but I don't really care if they do, I would not be ok with my children smoking weed or drinking, etc before they are responsible adults. I think once you are eligible to be shipped off to war and be killed then you should be allowed to do smoke/drink/etc.
