I'm buying a 400w HPS system and i also need to build a grow box. I know that it will take a little time to build it but i wanna get the growing started. How what part of the growing process is the smell the strongest so i can know how much time i have?
Usually I will have smell occur that is pungent about two to three weeks into flowering until the end. The most smell occurs once the buds have cure for about a month. Piney Also, a light that big for a grow box sounds like a bit much. However, if you have a good vent. plan. that much light could prove very effective.
I was thinking of a box about 4 cubic feet with a exhaust fan on the top and 2 or 3 computer fans on the bottom and making 2" intake holes on the bottom for fresh air to come in. I think I still have a problem with the smell though. That's about the only big thing that I'm worried about. I don't really have to worry about stealth except for the smell.
