When is it too late to keep trimming in flower?

  1. Hey blades

Grow I am referring to is in my sig, the White Widow/Pineapple Kush grow. I just went into week 3 flower with the ladies and another blade linked a video in my grow about trimming the shade leaves and other non-essentials in order to 'push' more energy upwards into the budsites where it counts. The video shows how to lollipop, which I have done before in other grows. I wanted to make this grow sort of on the more "natural" side, I only topped once and have trimmed lightly. All fan leaves are there and many other non-essentials.

My question here is simply....how late is too late to continue trimming into flower? I am nervous about removing any other leaves on these ladies. They are very healthy and have multiple budsites going on and I just wanted to leave things alone and let them finish out for the next 5-6 weeks in flower without removing anything. I know there are arguments about letting things just fall off naturally if the plant so desires, and then the method of trimming it tight and leaving only the essential leaves. This isn't so much a debate about that, the question I am posing is in my current grow, at week 3 into flower is it too late to trim any more leaves and branches without stressing the plant?

Things are getting a little bushy

  2. Some swear by defoliation and some shun it...guess its all about who u ask.

My experience...I chop all popcorn bud sites, and large fan leaves that block light, I stop after week 3 with the occasional pluck here and there
