"When i get my hands on a tab..."

  1. "or some shrooms, i cant wait to see how tippy things look"

the preceding was a paraphrase of what i hear when i comes to people and the moment they trip their first time, or second or whatever.

i made a post similar to this in the past, (Ignorance Today) explaining how it seems that all people care about when they trip is to look at anything that will get them laughing or awe-ing. in my opinion, anyone who concentrates only on the visuals during any psychedelic experience is wasting their time.

These are the Keys, people. The keys to the locked areas of our brains. Yea, that tree does appear to be talking to you, but do you hear what its saying, do you understand what its saying? Its as if, at the time when you could the most aware of everything in you whole life, the oportunity is passed up wehn one concentrates on the swirling designs on my shirt that would otherwise appear straight.

A blotter tab or a few liberty caps will open your Third Eye, but you have to SEE everyonce in a while. Personally, ive never eaten shrooms or acid (my balls are far beyond blue) but the bulk of time id spend during said expereience would not be used up staring at a black light poster, but spent seeing how far i can take my cognative thinking. how about the rest of you?

  2. I'm with you. I think psychedelics have something very valuable to offer. I believe they unlock powers of the mind that society today just doesn't care about, writes these experiences off as chemical reactions and random firing in the brain. I've only eaten shrooms a couple times, and never gotten a trip off salvia, but that's probly because I always do it with people in the background going "it's not working!" I plan on smoking the rest of the leaf I have alone. But I gotta say, sex on shrooms...is...awesome.

  3. Conciseness Expansion!

  4. Psychedelics allow you to view the world uninhibited by reality. You have the choice to see things or actually see something.

  5. You know the guy that discovered the double-helix for DNA was on acid at the time?

  6. you just KNOW i agree with you.

    and stuff beyond cognition.

and consciousness expansion too! :D (but i really like conciseness expansion, and shall plagerise the term endlessly now)

personally, what really does it for me is when the whole thing tips beyond, into the meta, into the shamanic experience.

"The shaman is he who dances on the "=" sign in Einstein's famous E=mc2 equation" -some guy, cool quote about shamans.

Shaman, translated in it's most literal, simply means, "one who knows".

it's those moments of great hipiphony, of knowing, that reduces one to giggles at the simplicity of it all, the safety and security that occurs simultatneously, the sense of being & belonging. Like recieving a foot up to a new higher wider plane from which to leap into another phase of personal evolution, only to discover you were always there, you just had to realise it.

  7. I find shrooms to be like expieriencing the world for the first time. You take more notice of the things you usually take for granted, among other trippy head changes. I almost poked my eye out on a hanging tree branch, but then ended up becoming completly transfixed by the amazingly comlicated pattern of the bark i normally never give a second thought too. I have only done them once and i want to up the dose next time.

  8. You don't need to up your dose, learn a little bit about something you want to expand on before your trip, and try continuing your findings or start what you already learned again... it WONT be the same...

  9. so true it needs be said twice

    -edit-
though... an upped dose could yeild the results you seek. one of the worst things you can do to a trip though, is to expect. I, like so many others i can but only assume, learned this on my second trip.

  10. i have yet to trip. :( mostly for previous lack of a situation i found appropriate enough. now that i can create a good situation for it - local availability... doesn't exist.

but that's actually bsides the point. i think of it like.... being a child again. even einstien when he got out of the womb and opened his eyes and was wowed by all the pretty colors b4 he had any important thoughts.

  11. I alwys knew I was into this kind of stuff ever since I wasa kid,in church I used to press on my eyelids to see trippy colors but only in church is that a coincidence I think not. I take halucagenic drugs to alter my mind and enhnce my connections with myself,God,the planet, energy and my music. I find tripping with other people is useless call me greedy but Im all about self discovery, rolled this one time with this girl and I didnt even try to fuck.Never tried acid though dont have many white friends and all the balcks nd latinos have is XTC and coke(weed of course),Growing some shrooms(AND WEED) soon so I guess thats my new venture.

  12. The more i experiment, the more I tend to agree tripping with other people isn't worth the time unless you are trying to figure something out collectivly or be creative together...

While im about to unlock the door to God and the Anti-Christ, my buddies are sliding down a rainbow and trying to conjure the illusion of ghosts as hard as possible.

It isnt about what you see with your eyes. Its about what you see with your mind.

  13. EDIT: I edited it to categorize my post since my posts are so long... I believe some of what I say holds some importance, and I know many don't like to read a lot. Read what you want by category :). I think I'm going to type a huge post one day for everyone to read on all my theories. but I've only been smoking for 2 months, so I'm waiting.

    Direct Reply
RIGHT ON. Even with pot i expand my mind and theorize, etc. Pot has changed my life to the point of my perception of things, including emotion, physical experience, etc. It's amazing. I do, of course, have fun while high too though. But you can't spend your time high all the time... psychadelic drugs unlock doors for your NORMAL consciousness to explore after that door has truly been fully opened.

And it's not visuals either. I tend to focus more on my curiosity on the human mind. About how we function, yes, but we are never aware of how. I guess if we were, we'd die really... too much to keep up.

    Drugs and evolution
IMHO drugs are the reason for evolution, and it's been speculated that humans are a product of evolving organisms that accidentally got their hands on natural drugs and it helped them envision and evolve for the billions of years they did. It generated emotion and other things that separate us from other living organisms.

Also, I believe in the next couple decades, the human race will be able to evolve the minds of future generations. We can't solely evolve in one generation, we can only enhance perception. From then on, generations that spawn from our changed perceptions will allow for the evolution of mankind for thousands of years to come.

    positive and negatives of drugs
With everything positive comes a negative. Lives are changed positively and minds evolve due to drugs, but there are also those who horribly abuse drugs, and they destroy more lives than they help. But the lives they help will strengthen the future minds of humanity.

    higher (no pun intended) thinking
Focus on perception change, and see if even maybe there's a strange aura of intellect surrounding your child...

Abuse of the drugs, however, will be detrimental to the evolution of the human mind.

Also, if you make it a subconscious goal or conscious passion to expand your mind and you are truly interested in doing so, it should happen. I concentrate on expanding my mind while NOT high, and when I am, it's not a nonstop flow of theories and visions that have improved my life. And once I come down, I widdle those ideas into solidified belief or that art and poetry into something original and worthwhile, for that's when really constructive and organized thoughts are created.... normal consciousness is more linear, whereas altered consciousness is much more dynamic. If you can bridge a gap between the two and organize your dynamic thoughts while high into linear ideas, you can make a difference in the world and change your conscious perception without the need of drugs.

And like I said, I've only done weed. Not ready for LSD or shrooms just yet.

My opinion on tripping/getting high with others
But about not tripping/getting high with others... that is a very bad thing to do, to isolate oneself. I tend to be a very intuitive individual, and when high, I am able to read emotions and interact with others on a different level. To expand one's mind while high doesn't require you to be alone. Other humans are there for all individuals to have the ability to reflect upon themselves. Without them, we are unable to realize ourselves. Others are just as iportant as we are in this realm, and they are extremely necessary for individual reflection, even if you keep every word to yourself.

I mean, without them, there is no contrast in humanity, and who is there to "tell" you that you are different and unique in a qay that you can acheieve higher consciousness through drugs? NEVER ISOLATE YOURSELF!

  14. ive experienced that ebfore, but when i was drunk... no idea how or why, but i theorize while drunk too, i jsut get more pissed about it when people disagree haha.

  15. I understand your do not isolate yourself, but mushrooms are SUCH drastically different then the perception. Its HARD to read other peoples thoughts and emotions. Its HARD to read your OWN thoughts and emotions. Its hard to understand BASIC reality. Even if you have unlocked the substance and you know how to control it, the other user may be losing it, even if they don't show it. And on the other foot, the shoe fits too. He may look like he is about to go fucking crazy, and he is nothing more than breaking down that last local football game...

Its a powerful substance. Powerful. But I agree, if your using it just to trip or get high, and are using by yourself, either stop or get some tripping buddies... but its TOUGH to trip around someone your not comfortable with. demensions like room tension and confusion are SOOOOOOOOOOO strong and so easy to sense that sometimes you will react specifically to that.

  16. People who take just to trip are radically re-structuring their brains without even knowing... (I'm talking about Mushrooms directly, anyways...)

  17. i hear ppl say this and don't really understand how or why

please explain - or if that is too long or tedious - direct me to an explaination

i'd really appreciate it (sorry if this sounds sarcastic - i really just want to know)

  18. Yeah i hear you, but it goes without saying that you shouldn't even be with people you are not particularly comfortable with.

  19. ^ Generally. What if you are just getting to know the dude (or girl, :D)? You wouldn't nessessarilly be uncomfortable around them, but you wouldn't "know" them... if that makes sense.

As far as how it changes your thought process, its hard to explain. I don't mean in an extreme way, or life altering. When you dose on shrooms your mind opens up to your environment. Environment as in your setting, your situation, all interactions, whether they are with another person, place, thing or idea. An example of your mind opening up in a small situation would be if the environment your in is very good, your sitting on the couch laughin and all of the sudden you find yourself in the clouds. This happens because the shrooms effect kinda works in waves, where there will be an OVERWELMING stage that will ride off of your environment, and then you'll kinda float back down before it repeats itself. Same thing applys for a bad trip. If your buddy says "IM HAVING A BAD TRIP, SATAN IS HERE!" , the mood of the room turns around, naturally you will start thinking about calming him down, and when those waves start kicking in again, you'll naturally ride that wave... It happens because when your on those waves you think and you think through that and through that and through that, and combined with dramatic emphasis the drug is making on your emotions.....

Its almost as if while under the influence of it it shorts out certain parts of the brain, but we are able to think around the shorts. Some people when they come down or off the drug are aware that it was just a drug and thats what it does. Some people don't understand it afterwards, and can't make the "connections" so to speak, and again im not implying that as the person goes brain dead, or becomes mentally challenged. It could be something as simple as deciding you shouldn't keep your weed in your car anymore or actually enforcing that little reason you know why you always throw your keys somewhere you'll forget them, everytime.

Its hard to explain... you have to try it to understand... :p Just be prepared for it to be more of a mental trip than a visual trip...

  20. while i agree with you, you should probably actually have some experience if your gonna pour your heart out and make a post about it.
