I did a couple hours of searching on the forums and I think I got my answer about smell. Seems like new growers initially try to convince themselves that smell is not going to be an issue or that it can be managed by spraying some ferbreeze once in a while. My paranoia would eventually get the best of me if I don't get a serious charcoal air filter. It's just too big of a risk. Even though I doubt most of my neighbours would know what they are smelling, I would freak out every time I open my door, thinking a smell is escaping. So I'll start the grow and get the air filter in the first few weeks. This site is really cool, I'm so happy I joined it.
