im pretty sure roots continue to grow as long as they are alive. its kinda like asking "when does an oak tree stop growing roots now that it has produced its first batch of acorns. i sure wish people would start realizing that cannabis is a plant just like every other plant.
lol. I would hope that anyone that was serious about growing would do a butt-load of reading before even attempting to grow. But i find that people want the information given to them without the work or without spending money. I have a local friend that has a small one time grow and he refuses to spend any money on it and doesnt know crap about it. His son went on utube and found some stuff to get them going and when they told me i helped a little. But when i realized he wanted hand outs and not help. I stopped helping. I suggest you read a book badness. Youll thank yourself in the end. I recommend THIS book
wow, i remember why i quit coming here. i should have mentioned that i use advanced nutrients too and watch the hate fly. i am not a beginner, been growing for about three years, i'm very shitty at it but i shur as hell try (too hard). i have read lots of literature and been to many forums and i have heard very different views on roots by people that have way more knowledge and experiance than i do and probably you too. i am always learning, like right now i am trying to time my last up-can so that i don't get spinout half way thru flowering but yet i want the container to dry out at least twice a week. i am trying a bunch of new things this time. don't want to screw it up, trying to cover all bases, but according to all you lovely people, i asked the dumbest question on grasscity. i have heard that the roots don't do much growing after couple of weeks into flowering, and that's from people that have botony degrees. so all you experts with your 'it's just a plant' (actually, isn't it a weed?) if that's the case wouldn't all the house plants in my house, in the same container for the last 5 years, be overrun with roots?? don't pot plants put almost all of their energy into budding after flipping not into roots and vegitation?? what ever, actually never mind. i thought that i was on the beginner section, you fuking experts act like i was on the advanced growing section or something. what a bunch of TOOLS!! moderator please feel free to ban me from this awsome site that's suppost to be full of stoners but instead is full of assholes!!
[quote name='badness'] i have heard that the roots don't do much growing after couple of weeks into flowering, QUOTE] BINGO, go with the degree, its true
i wasnt trying to be a dick either. much less was i trying to flame anyone. as i said b4, im sorry. im not here to ruffle feathers. just use some common sense b4 posting a question like this next time.
