Hi guys, im doing my first grow and i need to know asap if the seed needs a light on just after its been planted in soil? or do i wait until there are any visible shoots? thanks
yea i'm pretty sure you want the light on now, since you want the sprout to start growing towards the light.
thanks guys....im just doing one seed at the moment to test out my lights and shit, i had a little trouble germinating it though. I first tried the wet paper towel method, but after a day of waiting with no results i got impatient lol and i tried the same seed with the glass of water method. Within 2 hours the seed fell to the bottom of the glass...indicating that it was ready... do you think that changing the germination process will have screwed it up?
hm, not too sure i just used the paper towel method, and depending on the seed, environment, it could take anywhere from 24 hours to a couple days for it to completely germinate. guess you'll just have to wait and be patient to see if anything happens.
