Hey blades im trying to help one of my noob growing freinds out with his plant and he has some questions. It was a clone his mom got him and he had no idea what to do. I told him to research and his retarded ass never did it. He says there are orange hairs on the bud and he sees a lot of trichs. The ends of the buds are sort of a purple hue and they look and smell delicious. He got them approx 2 months ago. Sorry for the broad details my freind is an idiot.
The color of the trichs will indicate to you when to harvest. Some people like the high associated with clear or cloudy trichs, but most recommend waiting until the trichs have an amber color. A pocket microscope would be useful/necessary here.
