When can I transplant a 12 day old?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Ambient206, Apr 27, 2016.

  1. I want to get it the fuck out of this MG organic. I would rather have more control and am probably going to bite the bullet and go fox farms or whatever they recommend at indoor garden lighting in Kent wa. But with a fall and a transplant already done I am worried it's to much stress. But the thought of time release nukes ( I prefer that word instead for some reason) concerns me. I know that there is a feeding schedule included with their nutes and would really like some structure because currently I'm using feel and my parental intuition to water it. Right now I'm using VF 11 from Eleanors and distilled water as my feed in the mg organic; no perlite mix.
So you can see my concern. The more research I do the more I make the "oh shit" face. Orchids were so much easier than this lol.[IMG]

  2. Hi cos of wat its in if it was me i wood risk it and put it in propper siol asap. MG goin to cause probs so u ant nothin to lose. Get some root stim though to water in wi ph water as root stim helps roit growth but also helps plant with shock etc. So if ya plant goin to die or become fucked leaving it then like i say ... ya av nothing to lose .. hopefully ya will gain by transplanting to goid siol . Once in though i wood defo leave it to settle well for a mnth or so to get its self back together and recover love. Gud luck love. I hope u tranplant goes ok love and ya get gud results.. happy growing xxxxx

She looks great, why exactly are you considering transplant? Keep off the nutrients until the plants asks for it.

I did not think the MG organics has release nutrients added. If it is because of the brand my experience has been people who grew poorly with MG did not know the type of soil they had or its properties. So many MG products but with the right pick and a little knowledge it can be a great choice.

As far as watering goes, let her wilt slightly if the pot lift method does not work for you. You should watch cannabis thrive in the wild. They come back fast with minimal stress.

  4. I'm hearing horror stories and I also hear it negatively affects quality and yield. I've also seen some slight yellowing to the tip of one of the leaves. I got a long way to go and I really want to get things locked down in some great quality soil. Apparently it's already into the vegetative stage so I am supposed to start feeding them.
From what I gather the best you can do is your own made soils, fox farm, or hydro. Insects also seem to be an issue with MG as well. Or at least all the journal's I have been reading said so.

There's no perlite in my current soil either and that undoubtedly has helped caused issues.

  5. you're right about pretty much all of it, except one thing to note is just because you are in veg doesn't automatically mean you should start giving it nutes.

the plant will be set for a few weeks just from what was in the seed, and even longer if you have anything besides inert medium for the plants.

I start feeding when the cotyledons start turning yellow and get ready to fall off.

  6. Ok so I have waited for the pot to become much lighter and she is showing signs of thirst. I can't get the soil for a bit so I'm going to use distilled water only now that I'm stopping my spot water treatment.
When I do get the soil im going FF. The garden supply folks said they had FFOF and another FF brand frog something. Which is better? Pics added below.

  7. I use happy frog, I call it potting soil for dummies. Being a minimalist myself I do not have to add nutrients for 6 to 8 weeks. Just eyeball the plant. The recover much faster from deficiencies than excess nutes
