so. Im growing some pot. Outside. i have one at the moment. about 4 weeks old. very nice. and I want to knwo whats the earliest i can tell it is a male. Becuase it would suck very much to know ive gone through al the trouble of caring for a long time to produce somehting unsmokable..
There's no way to tell the sex of the plant before flowering. So wait a couple of days after flowering, perhaps longer. Male plants are still smokeable. True they aren't near as potent and don't taste as good as bud, but still produce a high. Also, don't throw it away if you don't want to smoke it, just do some baking with it. Or make oil. Or make hash. Etc.
