So its almost september and im on my first grow I am just wondering why my plants texada time warp blue berry cross from peakseeds suppose to be a early8weeker Northern lights Whitewidow are still only shooting a very few pistols out 2 are in ground and 2 in pots I feed them 4ml/gallon AN mother earth super tea And 2ml/ of flora nova grow and 2ml of big bud per gallon And molasses every other watering They are in a area which gets about 6-9 Hours of direct sun because the angle has changed cuz of trees and bushes Any opibion in really baked
At which latitude are you? I am at 56lat and have the same problem but with different strains. All claims to be early finish strains :/ There is nothing to do. They'll start to flower whenever they feel to. All you have to do is hope they will finish before frost hits them.
i think your both fucked but who knows i wish you luck
Like in the head or the grow is
When to flower is determined by the sun or light I think, (12/12 is what I thought signaled the plants to flower) you would be better off reading the journals and stickys 'caus they are full of good info.
Hey Canada Kid, I'm a looong looong way from where you live, but here's a bit of help. There could be one or more factors at play here. 1. The daylight hours aren't short enough right now to send the plants into full flower. 2. Due to a mis-calculation you may have planted on the north side of trees, hills, etc. which is now blocking the necessary sunlight to promote vigorous flowering. 3. The plants may have been put out too late for where you are and didn't have enough veg time. More often than not the same strain started up 4 weeks earlier will finish way ahead. 4. The sun is very weak where you are, potential rain, fog, clouds make this even worse. I've never been to BC, but I've been as far north as Montana in mid-summer and couldn't believe how different the intensity of the sun is compared to Florida. After a week up there, when I got off the plane in Fl. I thought I was going to go blind. If I lived way up there, I'd try to find outdoor spots that had complete unobstructed sky above to get the most light possible. HTH.
Ive moved too into a more open spot it has been a cloudy auguest herr the two in the ground have a birch tree on the south of them and the black berry bushes have grown alot i guess its time to do some trimming of the bushes
The same thing happns here when we have too much rain and fog. The flowering is delayed. All you can do now is pray for sunshine. When is your avg. 1st frost?
I feel you buddy I live in BC. my Texada timewarp JUST started budding and my LSD and early sativa both are still stretching. Last year they were 3/4 finished flowering by now
Hey man. I'm at 51 lat in the UK. I have some in flower and some still stretching. Flowering can be very strain dependant. Us guys up high north are limited to what we can grow so if these are bag seeds you might be in trouble. The advice already given is good. It I'd add that a lot of strains can survive mild frosts and so I wouldnt start to worry yet. Your worst problem will be mold if its rains a lot in your area or is very humid. Some kind of shelter from the rain can help. Peace Edit: Just read thread again! You know your strain so fingers crossed for you. Next year you could try strains designed for dutch or UK climates, purple maroc has been flower for me for nearly 2 weeks now and should be finished by mid Oct. Also she's very resistant to mold. Also my swiss cheese is just starting to flower now. But last year she went into late oct, early November with minimal mold and survived a -4c night with no problems.
- it's mostly genetics that determine flower onset: as said FS Purple maroc is early, Channel + is early, Big Foot, Early MAroc, Gokunk are also early ones etc.... Also some "super autos" can be good for your situation (Chaze, Big Devil, Auto AK47 etc...) - also if you start very early, March or beg. April, this delays flowering (plant builds up auxins) - too many N nutes given in flowering time can delay it too (not proven though) - smaller pot causes root bound but also causes earlier flowering (vs in ground or in big pot) - high latitude places flower later (they get more sun light and since cannabis flowers when there is less...), like in UK or Norway at 50, flowering is later than if you're closer to the equator at 38. Flowering begins around 14/10 for most mj plants outdoors (not 12/12 which is landmark for indoors) and the 14 occurs at different periods according to the latitude. Check with the sunlight hours in your area.
