Whats wrong with my plant??

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by redman123, Sep 16, 2011.

  1. Just started my first grow with a clone that ive had for about 7 days. I have 3 lights and a small fan for ventilation. The tips of the leaves have been getting more and more yellow and the new growth has yellow spotting. If anyone knows whats wrong please comment.

  2. looks like nute burn and too hot... are you venting? what soil? any nutes?

    p.s.... nice bong

  3. Im using MG indoor plant food spikes. It says to take 3 but i only put 1 in. The soil is MG moisture control. Theres a small fan next to the plant that is doing pretty well with ventilating the box.

  4. i saw that fan, but it isn't taking the air out of the room. it is ok as long as the door is open. mg have time release nutes. that with the spike has given her nute burn. take the spike out and get some fox farm ocean forest soil to put the plant in when you can. you can leave her there for now, but you will deal with the nute problem for a while. don't flush because that will release more nutes. plants that young don't need anything. good luck.

  5. miracle grow moisture control needs no nutes during veg. I use that brand all the time and it is very tricky to grow MJ in. Take the plant food spike out and let that soil dry up really good, dont flush as that will only make problems worse. Just give regular phd water til you go into flower. Remember...make sure that your pot is very light and the soil is dry before you water or you will burn the crap out of your plant. good luck!

  6. Thanks for the help. I'll post more pics if something else comes up.

  8. I recently used those spikes as well and caused a major overfeeding problem over time. I would transplant if you had any extra soil left

  9. I highly suggest u get rid of the MG stuff.

Although it can be done, u will have tons of problems,
    I guarantee it.

The soil already has nutes in it and has hotspots and will
inevitably cause nute burn. MG nutes are notorious for
being heavy on the Nitrogen, so your weed will smoke
and taste raunchy. Transplant to a better soil, where U
    have control of the feeding.

Those MG plant spikes - get rid of em.

They are not the proper nutes that weed needs. They are designed
for houseplants. U stick one in the soil if youre goin away for a few
dayz and it supposedly feeds the plants while youre away. They
end up causing damage to the plant.

Please trust me on this info.

Been there, done that, many times over the years lol.

  10. fersure man im definitely getting rid of them, havent used them yet so i guess tasty weed and not raunchy. but should i use fox farm nutes and should i flush the plant soon??

  11. If your going to transplant I'm not sure if you need to flush (I mean if your going to transplant really soon). I could be wrong tho

  12. ok im probably gonna end up leaving it in the soil its in now just so i dont mess it up cause its growing pretty well now. Thanx for the help. and do u think switching it to 12/12 in a week or so is a good idea?

  13. From the pics it looks like it would be mature enough in a week to start flowering. I've seen SoG grows with plants close to the size yours are now when they went into flowering
