Whats Wrong With My Girl? :/

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by blam3d, Jun 1, 2013.

  1. She's about 27 days old, I been LST'ing since her 3rd true set. Grown organically, looks like mag deficiency? But then again looks like also burnt from the 400w MH? Any help would be greatly appreciated mates!

  3. Also, i did spray her 1-2 times with molasses and distilled water when the 400w MH was still on, so maybe the left over water on the leafs burned the leafs with the light also being on? Ive always watered her in my shower with left out tap water for over 24 hours if not distilled water(not shower her, i just place her in the shower for an easy drain) then i place her back on the MH when im done. I mean i just dont know what can this be from, theirs so many variables, specially being my first time  :hide:  :confused_2:

  4. Hi there! Please give us some information! Thanks
\nWhat type of medium; soil or hydro?
What brand and type of soil?
    Indoors or outdoors?
    What strain?
    How old are the plants?
What type of lights and how many watts?
    How far from the lights?
What is your watering frequency and source of water?
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK?
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro?
What are the temps and humidity in the room?
    What size pots?
    Any bugs? Look real close.
    Any other pertinent info?

If any of these questions have already been answered please disregard as I cut and paste this for everyone.

If there is leaf discoloration please TAKE PICTURES WITH ALL GROW LIGHTS OFF, ESPECIALLY HPS & LED's. Taking pictures and taking them with lights off, allows us to see what the leaf discoloration looks like.

  5. Soil I made and let cool for 2 weeks or so and it's...

-1 cf MG organic choice garden soil (no time-release fertilizers)
-1/2 cup blood meal (for nitrogen)
-1 cup bone meal (for phosphorus)
-1 pinch ground alfalfa (for potassium)
-3/4 cup dolomite lime (calcium/magnesium and PH buffer)
-20% perlite (space for roots/make sure water isn't retained too much in the soil)

It's indoors, Wonder Woman strain from nirvanashop, 400w MH for veg like stated and it's around 6-7 " from the top.

I brewed them a tea twice, first tea I diluted 50/50 with distilled pH'd water to 6.0 and run off was 6.7ish..

I water every 4-5 days, when I feel no moisture on the first 3-4 inches of soil.

I did brew a tea the other day that I didn't dilute, which consisted of..

    1/3 cup Mexican Bat Guano
    1/3 cup Earth Worm Castings
    1/2 cup alfalfa meal
    5 TBS Black Strap Molasses
    5 TBS Liquid Kelp Extract
    3 TBS Fish emulsion
    5Gal left over night h20

3.80Gal pots, and I've seen some fungus gnats after my recent tea brew, and some little tiny tiny white worms in the soil. So I started using been been oil and it's calmed down a bit. I also put some apple cider with soap in a bowl and it's catching them, along with mosquito dunks, ant zappers, sticky strips and of insecticidal soap as spray, and now that Mention it, I did spray them with the insecticidal soap under the MH also.

Also, the discoloration is the same color in the pic with lights in or off, trust me.

  6. First team I made them and diluted 50/50 was

    4 gallons of water
1 cup of fine ground alfalfa meal
1 TBSP blackstrap or sugar beet molasses

I'm thinking the last tea WHICH I also think I should have diluted was what burned them... That and the mix between foliar spraying under the light a couple times. But if this is a nutrient deficiency please let me know...

  7. Wow man! Sounds like your giving her lots of love!

Do you test her run-off ph often?  Can you test her ph "run-off" today?

At a 6.7ph run-off, Mn and Fe are not available for her to consume.

  8. Yeah Iam showing her a lot of love, being it my first time I don't want to fail.

I watered her 3 days ago, until 20-30 % run off, and the run off was at around 7ish this time around. I mean it's in organic soil, so I didn't pay attention really to it.

I'm also growing another Wonder Woman in another pot which is in organic soil no amendments to the soil JUST a grow tab from nirvana, and the run off of this one was 6.5 and it still has the same brown markings. So I don't know what's going on.

  9. Thanks for the fast replies by the way man.

  10. This is the one I have on the grow tab, wich also shows the same discoloration. That's why I'm leaning towards heat stress?

  11. It does look a little hot for that baby, the soil I mean.  Do you use any additional cal-mag?

You bet man. I enjoy helping and looking at plants!! :D

  12. No I didn't man. But I do have some roots organics Buddha grow and Buddha bloom getting here within a few days.

Should I stop feeding them for 1-2 weeks? And then just start them on the Buddha grow, then after switch lights and switch them to Buddha bloom?

  13. I would not be giving them any extra food for the first month with all the nutes in the soil. Just water.

I have to add, I don't grow soil anymore and hadn't for a couple of years. I grow hydro, DWC systems, and LOVE them. I am mother nature, I control everything she receives!

  14. But if the wonderwoman that isn't in the amended soil, just plain organic soil and nothing added to it, just a grow tab shows the same signs wouldn't that mean that it has to do with hear stress from the light? I mean, I thought It was the soil at the beginning too being a tad hot, but the one with the flower tab is also showing the same thing. I have a blue mystic the same age same organic soil with amendments and she isn't showing any discoloration, just a tiny tiny speck on one of the leafs.

  15. Got it, I'll let them go 1-2 weeks without feeding. And see how it goes, then ill feed them the Buddha grow for a bit until flower time.

  16. I see the tips are burnt.

I also know that wrinkly leaves are a sign of heat stress, so you might be right. Also it's a sign of salt build up. Have you flushed? Use about three times the amount of soil you have and flush with ph 6.5 water. I would flush until the runoff was a solid 6.5.

Moving the light about 10-12" away would be better.

  17. This is my current grow. I am at day 33 of flower. She is a Plush Berry :D

  18. No I haven't flushed them yet. If I flush, wouldn't I also be removing any amendments my soil has? Ill go ahead and move lights a little further, but I HAVE added a 440cfm centrifugal fan to the tube so now teps are in the low to mid 70s in there so hopefully that helps?

  19. I don't think you'd wash away ALL of the amendments, just refresh the root zone and wash away the salt build up. I believe you'd have to run about 60 gallons through it to get close to a restart....

  20. That's one NICE bush man! I'm looking forward to my flowering days!
