so i was outside smoking a cig when i noticed a weed growing in between the cracks of my patio. then something occurred to me... plants do nothing but make food and grow. their lives are meaningless to themselves. sure to us they create oxygen, but they serve no individual purpose. humans don't really serve a purpose either. we grow up, have a few kids, get a job, then die. then our kids do the same thing... it's been going on for roughly 200,000 years and it doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon. so i ask why... why do we do it? why do we live? what is the point of all of this? is there some ultimate destination that i'm missing here?
No one really knows, and if they claim to they're full of it. I guess the best that can be said is life is for living. Just count your blessings every day and be glad you weren't born into abject poverty in some shitty third-world country.
the point of living is to browse grasscity, listen to music and smoke another bowl lol i just thought everyone knew this
didn't read post, but biologically our purpose is just to produce dem babies moar babies moar the better .....100 of them and you'll be biologically successful :edit: for above post
The way I see it, you should just live to do all the things you want to do, and accomplish what you wanna accomplish. Live for good times, and do what you can to make this meaningless life a good one. You kinda owe it to yourself to have fun while you exist.
Why? To passionately love another human being, for me it's my wife. The closest I've ever gotten to god was in her arms. With the various forms of love, even the love of a pet gets you that much closer to the reason for our existance. Without that love life is less than. And that's just my two bits
A list for you of the good things, not in any order: -SEX -Drugs -Money -Love -Happiness -Thinking -Being self aware -Fighting -Eating That's all I've got right now, makes sense to me.
