What's the difference betweedn a pothead,and a stoner?

    Everybody keeps saying pothead a stoner,wtf is the difference with them.

    Depends on yourself. Stoners usually smoke all the time while potheads take joy into smoking and their lives are normally marijuana-related.

    there is no difference as both are words created to be labels to someone who smokes weed... neither technically have meaning.... some say stoners would be the derogatory term for someone who gets high, some would say pothead is.... If you ask me.... they dont mean shit lol....

    Where I'm from, stoner is the nicer term. Stoners are people who smoke and still keep it together and are intelligent about it, while calling someone a pothead is the same as calling them stupid and lazy good-for-nothings who can't keep it together.

    To me its like, a pothead always looks like he's high, the perm burnout type. A stoner is one who is most of the time high and knows a lot about weed. But to most, its pretty much the same thing.
