What's the deal with my guy?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by mlrock, Jan 11, 2013.

  1. There's a guy that I've been buying from for about a year now. He's a nice guy and his product isn't bad, we're even friends on Facebook. However, there's something quite suspicious about him. Despite the fact that he knows who I am and that I'm obviously not a narc, he refuses to ever let me buy his wares in his apartment and has me wait in the hallway in front of his apartment while he's getting the stuff I want. From my interactions with him, I'm pretty sure that there's only one type of unmentionable that he sells (PM me if you would like to know which one, it's not a super-hard one.) I would think that I would've been buying from him long enough for him to trust me enough to make the transaction in his apartment. Does anyone have any idea why he won't let me in?

  2. Some dealers are just like that. Think of it this way, would you want somebody knowing about all your personal cannabis ventures if you were selling and making a good amount of money off it?

  3. some dealers just have a strict rule about never selling in their crib/at their crib. Maybe the guy has a girlfriend/lives with some one, and that person has a strict rule about not letting strangers into their place.

You shouldn't take it personal if he doesn't invite you into his place. If he sells you good product, if he's cool with you, then it shouldn't matter if you go into his place.
With one of my current connects, I only went to his crib after doing like business with him for 6 months. Another one of my connects it was almost a year before she started invited me over to her place. While I have another connect who invited me to their house a few days after knowing them, so it all depends on the dealer.

A lot of people seem to think that if they don't sell at their homes, cops will have a harder time getting a warrant to search their property.

To me it would seem suspicious and would stand out more having people stand in your hallway to pick up all the time.

  4. I mean that's not weird. Trust me, a lot of people will do that. Especially if he's selling more than just weed. You have a lot of people who might get needy and rob a dealer. So the less you see/know the safer he feels, maybe?

  5. Yeah I'd say it's probably cause of the other substance. Guys who sell that kind of stuff and guys who sell strictly bud generally have very different codes of conduct. Weed dealers (in my experience) are far, far more personable and willing to sit down, share a bowl and chat for a bit, while unmentionable distributors are more like 'get your shit and leave'.

I definitely wouldn't take it personal though.

  6. Probly cuz he doesnt want you in his crib.lol

  7. This, I had a guy that sold various unmentionables in addition to green and while he wasnt unfriendly he never allowed ANYone in his apt.

On the other hand I had a nightowl connection of mine that would hit me up every friday and monday morning when I left work to come over smoke up, play Madden, watch the Military Channel, whatever. Dude was a hell of a guy, moved to Denver about 4 yrs ago, keeps trying to get me to come out there.

Long story short, its all about dealer pref, but leaving mofos standing in the hall screams 'Im a dealer, bust me.'

  8. Deal with it, I say.
Don't take offense because it's probably not intended.
You're dealing with a level headed and not necessarily paranoid person, who does not want to bring their business right inside his home.

Obviously being quiet, observant and cautious would go well hand in hand with how he's doing it.

I'd much rather deal with that over someone who can't be discreet and has all his buyers knocking about and smoking weed at his place.

  9. Maybe he's growing. Or maybe he doesn't want anyone to jack anything. There could be like 100 legitimate reasons for this.

  10. If I was doing something illegal I wouldn't tell people where I live......

  11. i wouldnt let people in my apartment to buy

  12. I wouldn't even let anyone know where my apt is. There are some crazy mother fuckers that will do alot of shit for some money, especially "unmentionable" users.
