What's happening?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by seanofthedead, Jun 24, 2017.

  1. I'm growing 4 different strains. All my buds look great, except for my California Orange plant (which happens to be my favorite). I've got Peach Puree CBD, Gigabud, and Black DOG. All of those are looking great and the Black DOG is even ready to harvest. But the California Orange looks odd. The buds are kinda foxtaily and keep pushing out huge white pistils, but aren't really developing.
I've seen a few similar pics when searching google that say it's light stress, but this plant is further away than all my other plants, and them temp in around 72. Any ideas?[IMG]

  2. Oh, and the leaf discoloration was from a calcium deficiency, but I added CALiMAGic and Silica and it stopped spreading. It happened to all my plants at the same time and none of the others showed any sign of odd bud growth like this.

  4. looking at the leafs is there a spider mite issue ? look on the under side of the leafs . is the plant 100 % sativa ?

  5. It's a 50/50 hybrid, and I don't think it's a spider mite issue. I just checked the bottoms of the leaves with a digital magnifier and I don't see anything.

  8. Definitely mites although if you can't see them they are probably broad mites/ russet mites/ tomato mites...which are a modern day growers worst nightmare. they are even hard to detect with a microscope. you have to look very carefully. when you see one....your too late...when it happened to me I just shut down everything and started over....that's after researching hours on the net and realizing it wasn't worth the battle....good luck dude

  9. i just go to town with my olive oil and warm water and dish soap . washes the mites off they hate the oil works best for me not spending 500 on bug killer thats not organic and will harm my plants . and mites build a resistance from poisons . one you keep using the same old thing 3 or 4 times the eggs hatch and they could careless there eating there salad bar

  10. it is possible to rid yourself of russet/broad mites...but your talking breaking the life cycle of a microscopic bug...that truth be told if you don't eliminate 1000% of them which is tough ...they will come back with a fury....russet mites will make you wish you had spidermites ....spidermites can fuck shit up....but not like russet mites....Russet mites are spreading an epidemic in mendocino as we speak...growers with decades in the biz are trashing all plants burning soil etc....you can find some video on YouTube on how bad these Fuckers can do ya.....it's way easier to just take the loss and start over ..but if you don't have that option then ...good luck with the battle...I know it takes an application every 3 days ...for at least a month...for you to break the life cycle....that to me is too much BS cuz your not guaranteed it will work....good luck though and keep us posted

  11. If it is some kind of mites, why would only one or 2 plants be affected? There are other plants in the same room that are fine. Including a mother plan that has been growing for about 8 months and shows no signs of this.
