Im a first time grower im starting indoors nd planning to move outdoors in a little while.....I was wondering latly my leaves have been turning yellowish white round the borders of the leaves and the tips of some are brownish yellow ....the bottom ones are showing signs of upcomming death....I figure the lower ones can be cut anyways tho...I was jus wondering if someone could help me out cause i dun want to add the wrong thing thinking it'll fix it and cause a second nd perhaps greater threat to a harvest. I dont currrently have a camera to take a photo......But soon enough i will.... I have 3 cfls 2 23w cfls= 100w and one 26w cfl =150w and my walls are layered with aluminum foil but arnt creating hotspots cause their placed on the proper side...and am currently fertilizing with 26 8 16 miracle grow fertss once a week diluted according to pacaging( perhaps dilute more?) since 6th inches of growth i began using fertilizer it is now just over a foot tall .......The soil consists of potting mix with slow release nurtrients one or 2 miracle grow sticks since signs of life... 1/4 vermiculite and perlite and 1/4 miracle grow slow release moisture holder (cant remember wat its called ) and peat moss mix. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Dude stop using nutes lol. If you have slow released nutes in your soil you don't need to add any. The MG line is very strong and can easily burn MJ plants. You need to flush your plants. If you don't it should be done every 2 weeks when using nutes. What I do to flush my 3 gal containers. I put them in my bath tub then water each container with 9 gals of water, this will flush all salt and toxic minerals away. Just don't water for a few days and it should hopefully start looking better. The sooner you get them out of that MG soil though the better.
Hey thanx bro this is my set up i got a camera to take pics wit... Sounds like u may be right ill let em dry out...The one in the bigger container shows no problems..seems to be growing greatly i stopped fertilizing right after i noticed the damage on the leaves of my 2nd largest plant....Is this a suitable indoor grow set up for the vegatative growth ( i plan on putting them outdoors)....[/IMG] Pic of my setup [/IMG]
And sorry to be so asking so many questions but what soil transfer would you think i should concider for outdoors.....I would prefer to go organic but have no experience and dont no type to buy and soil mixtures like 1/2 this 1/4 that 1/4 that ..Im just purely estimating here and going by things i read.... if someone could give me a soil mixture nd formula for feeding and such from a previouse outdoor grow.... it would be greatly appreciated
Those will not fair well outside. Very stretchy, small stems, those lights will not cut it. As soon as you stick those outside they will be blown over, or rained on and broken. Its much harder then you think to take plants from indoors out. Special when they are struggling as it is.
Can i fix them by directing the lights closer.....I have no other option should I put the small one out sooner before they grow long nd thin
