I just came into some money recently so I'm thinking about buying some weed essentials. First, I plan to buy an eighth as that's what I normally buy when I reup. Or should I buy more? I already have a bowl, tobacco pipe, and dugout. Should I buy more pieces? Maybe a really nice bowl or a bubbler or something? Also, I need a grinder. What are some good brands to look for and what kind should I get? I'm also open to any other suggestions you may have. Thanks!
Seeing that you have the basics id just buy more green. As far as grinders go i swear by space case. Awesome grinder, have 2 and they've lasted me years and still work like new.
dont get anything with aluminum also get a big ol bong somthin more for showin off get somthing that looks really fucking awsome
Why? What's wrong with aluminium? I've had one for the past 2 years and still working perfectly and collected loads of kief. So what's the issue?
I live in a dorm so no bong yet. I really need a grinder for my one hitter though. And I have a basic bowl but I might splurge on one with a nice deep bowl. Maybe spend $40 on it? Or should I get a bubbler, steamroller, Sherlock, etc. instead?
get a Kannastor 4pc grinder, and im in rez too and bongs are the shit! so are vapes but bongs are sick if your not on the first floor
me and my room mates always do bong rips and smoke shisha aha my RA actually asked if he could buy from me to which i denied all knowledge of the drug
I'm still too nervous to invest in a bong right now. Maybe this summer though. But I'm really in the mood to buy more smoking tools and use them all!
I suggest a vape. I love mine and it's pretty stealthy. I got my Vapir NO2 for $100 and it works nicely
Yeah bruh buy a lot of bud doe. For grinders man yeah def SpaceCase. I got myself a Sharp Stone n it never fails bruh. Grinds up good.
If your livin on Rez I'd suggest a vape for the smell. You already have a pipe and you dont want a bong, I personally don't really like bubblers except for bigger style ones that are pretty much bongs. But apparently you can get an mflb for like 75 bucks on eBay, easy to hide, very little smell. Definitely get a grinder though, I had a sharp stone for like 2 years and it was great until I lost it, my new one has 2 broken teeth and it's been less than a month. Next time I'm going to get a better quality one.
You don't use anything aluminium, especially the teeth. It will grind small fragments into the bud and it makes it toxic to smoke, one of the WORST things you can do. Spacecase or sharpstone grinder. Try to get a 4pc if you can, the kief catcher really makes a difference.
Here are the basics I suggest for the everyday stoner: 1. A high-quality dry piece (ideally a bowl). Look mainly for thickness and appearance. You want something that you can be proud of and will last you forever. Expect to spend somewhere between $50-$100. 2. A scale. Holy fuck, if I see another "how much does this look like...?" thread, I'm going to slam my head into a wall. Anyhow, I digress. Get a scale, it will easily pay for itself within one or two weed purchases if you find out you're getting skimped. Besides, it's just a good thing to have. Expect to spend less than $20; scales are cheap. 3. A grinder. The only brands I will suggest are either a mendo mulcher or a space case. Expect to spend around $60 on a good grinder. Don't skimp and buy a cheap grinder: a solid built one like the mendo mulcher will last a lifetime. 4. A jar. Get something that has an airtight seal. You could just go with a mason jar, but I would spend some money (think $20) to get a cool one with a nice design. As with every other piece of basic smoking gear, why not spend the extra bucks on something that you'll want to/be able to keep for life? 5. Some rolling papers and tips. They're cheap (ie. papers and tips are at most $2 for 32 papers/tips). Good for special occasions or when you are in a pinch. 6. Some sort of case for all of this gear. I suggest an Otterbox model 3510. This box has a hard shell to protect your stuff, a watertight seal to help contain the smell of the items you put in it, and best of all an included foam insert that allows you to pull out sections of the foam to create custom-shaped indents for your items. Lastly, it has the ability to be locked with a luggage style lock to keep unwanted prying hands and eyes out (remember, cops can only searched a locked container with a search warrant). The 3510 otterbox will hold a small jar (ie. size of a grinder), a grinder, and a dry pipe. Depending on how you space things out you could also fit in a few lighters, papers and your scale. ---------- Now some other notes. First, don't buy a bubbler. Scientific bubblers that are more bongs than bubbler are one thing, but the color worked hand-pipe style bubblers that you find at most headshops are just gimmicks in my opinion. For starters, they smell. A lot. Second, they are hard to keep clean as they get constantly dirty. And unlike a dry pipe, which you can keep resined up, bubblers need to be clean or else they'll taste like shit. Also if you plan on putting your bubbler into a case of come sort (as I suggested above) the horrible smelling moisture from the bubbler will make everything else in the case reek. Last, but not least, you will often find yourself without water to put in the bubbler. Sure, you could smoke it dry, but then you pretty much just have yourself an oversized dry pipe. As far as buying more weed, just hold off. There's plenty of time and money for that in the future. Invest in some high-quality basic gear and you'll never have to buy it again like you would have to do with cheap shit that breaks. Then all of that money you have in the future you can blaze much more enjoyably with your awesome kit.
1. Spacecase grinders are made of aluminum. Even the "titanium" ones are just aluminum with a special titanium coating. 2. Sharpstone grinders (in my experience) suck. They aren't the worst on the market, but you can definitely get more bang for your buck from a space case or mendo mulcher. 3. Aluminum shavings don't make bud toxic. I can't imagine that aluminum shavings are good to suck into your lungs from a dry pipe, but they certainly aren't toxic. 4. Aluminum shavings are often seen in new grinders because they are left over from the grinder being machined. The way to avoid this is to wash the grinder with soapy water before you use it (soapy water to get off any residual machining oils.) 5. Aluminum grinders do not cause aluminum shavings, rather its the quality of the aluminum (there are many different aluminum alloys) and the machining that will cause metal shavings. A grinder made with high-quality aluminum and high-quality machining (ie. mendo mulcher or space case) will never cause aluminum shavings.
I bought a Diamond grinder and a half ounce. I also ordered a percolating bowl, a steamroller, and a small grinder online for a pretty good deal. I'm excited for that to come in. I just don't know where to smoke anymore. I'm almost too sketched out to smoke outside on campus.
