What's a percolator?

    Hey, I'm looking to buy a new water-pipe, whats a percolator? And what does it do?

    It's a part in a bong that fills with water and acts as an extra cooler for the water.

    No that's a precooler. A perc is kind of like a tube with holes so the smoke separates out and has more surface area on the water.. Thus cooling it down.
