    I'm going to spend $40 or more.

    What are some brands and models that are good?

    look on ebay .. you can accuatly get really good scales for cheap like 15-30 dollars.. type in jewelry scales

    I managed to get an infiniti 50G scale at my local convinience shop for 19.99 and its perfect unless your gonna wanna weigh up hp's or more.

    I also recently bought a scale from ebay, measures in .01g and only cost about $9 shipped

    I haven't recieved it yet but if I wasn't strapped for cash I wouldn't buy it. Those cheap ones (under $30 or so) are no name brands "Made in China" so I doubt they're very accurate and/or will last a long time.

    But I don't know anything about scales. If so many people buy these cheap ones I guess that a scale is a scale is a scale

    When I was looking around for a decent scale for at a good price, someone suggested Blade. I looked them up on ebay, and bought one for $30 and this thing is accurate, .01 increments, and not a cheap remake.
